I'm aware of the eyes, but red is also the color of his eyes in some manga covers and in the Toei anime. Also it was chosen to better match the hair. I'm going to try again with the Loyal Jay as the necklace, though, as I didn't know of it before.
What are those bangs? :O Definitely in need of them for a better cosplay, and that background's pretty stellar too - Report As Spam

theres a better way to get the yellow bangs with the hair. yugi has purple eyes and theres a better puzzle item. not sure of the exact names
