- Description: From the anime 'Inuyasha,' Kikyo is a powerful priestess given the task of guarding the Shikon Jewel. Through the actions of Naraku, she was killed, and Inuyasha (her love interest) is pinned to a tree. However, when Kagome (Kikyo's Incarnation) falls into a well taking her into the past, she releases Inuyasha. Later, an ogress attempts to pull Kagome's soul into a clay body of Kikyo's remains. Kikyo is reborn, but can only maintain her form through souls brought to her by her soul collectors.

- Even a little bit more to push towards my point, she was trapped as a priestess before her death. She was so confined to do her priestess duties and what not that she didn't even feel like a woman. And now, in her reborn body, she is free to an extent...but she still cannot be the "woman" she wanted to be with Inuyasha. So, instead, she takes other liberties with her new found freedom. And as we all have seen, they aren't necessarily all the most noble, but some she has actually helped as well.
