Wizard Howl has given his heart to the fire demon, Calcifer, in order gain access to all of his powers. Losing his heart, however, has made him lose some of his humanity, causing him to grow more and more beastlike every time he uses his powers to transform.
ETA: I know Howl has been done before, but when the coal sprite came out I just couldn't resist adding in Calcifer. ;)
