• Creeping down the chimney,
    Came Santa with a smile,
    I pretended to be sleeping,
So he might stay a while.

    I watched him stacking presents,
    and prayed he wouldn't go.
    Before he ate the cookies,
    I had to say hello.

    I said, "I'm sorry Santa
    I wasn't good this year,
    Just wanted you to know,
    Before you disappear."

    He said, "now listen Jenny,
    You try your very best,
    Nobody is perfect,
    But truly I'm impressed.

You came to say you're sorry,
    But Santa knows you are.
I see what you are feeling,
    Even from afar.

    Save your words my child,
    For the ones you love.
It's they, who need to hear them,
    And what you're thinking of."

He hugged me with a warmth,
    I've never felt before.
Then I woke up in my bed,
    A present on my floor.

    Unraveled came the ribbon.
The note said, "Just for you",
I wondered what could be inside,
    This little box of blue

As I opened up the box,
    My heart began to race.
Love poured out into the air,
    Christmas found its place.

Inside my heart and in my home,
    Just where it should be.
    Love enchanting everything,
    With the Christmas Spirit stirring.
