• That Day

    She loved to play around
    Her dress an Irony Blue.
Plus a face a creamy color,
    Her eyes a sparkly blue,
And a tint of sadness in her eye...

    Christmas colors all around
    Lights sparkling bright
    Stars shining in the dark
    Laughter could be heard.
    Sounds of presents being wrapped
    Glitter sparkling, never so bright

    She walked around soundlessly
    A teardrop sliding down
    She slid to a stop
    On her front door step
    A gift neatly wrapped
    Against her brick red door

    A light blanket of snow
    Covering the present lightly
She leaned down to pickk it up
The corners of her mouth lifting
    She walked inside her house
    Sitting on the couch

She held tightly on the card
    Watching the flames burn high
    Slowly she opened the card
    Her face smiling bright
    'Don't be sad.
    Just because i'm not here
    Smile! Brighten up!
    Til the day is gone!'
    The card said.

    She glanced at the window
    Seeing an illusion
    Of her only brother
    Her present was neatly opened
A beautiful music box playing softly
A beautiful lullably, spread around the room
    Her smile was bright
Even though she missed him so

    Lights flickered off
    Laughter died down
    The day was already over

    That Day
    Where she saw a miracle,
    Atleast that's what I say

    That day
When she thought she saw her brother
Again, when he was suppose to be long gone

    That Day,
    Was Christmas.
