This month's Donation Items are the RoRo Robo-Puppy and the KiKi Kitty Plushie!

ZeekSlider Must Have Rating: 5 out of 5 Recommended Item: BOTH!! Seriously! Snap Judgement I won't lie. I seriously thought that they had released the first set of pets on Gaia. However, when I read the announcement better, I learned that they were really fake pets. Plushies and Robo-dogs. And then the cute factor hits me, and I knew that I wanted both.
General Critique Surprisingly, since their descriptions pretty much mirror each other in that the Robo-Puppy is the enemy of the Kitty Plushie, both items can be equiped together! Even more surprising is the number of different poses you can have with each one. The Kitty Plushie has more, but that is because it is designed to be a hand held item. Even so, both items prove to be very unique in their variety.
The only thing I don't like is the fact they are still playing off of the whole Boys vs. Girl/Cute vs. Cool/Light vs. Dark/Angelic vs. Demonic angle. Oh well, can't please everyone.
RoRo Robo-Puppy Critique This little guy is quite amusing. The little pup still has some bite in it.
It's default mode is standing next to your avatar to look like a pit bull ready to defend its owner. The fact that it is a robot makes it a little more cool than the actual pit bull, although, I do know several people that find that breed of dog cute in real life. While not really adding much to the avatars that a Ducky Hat can't do for cheaper, it is a real good eye catcher.
The Nesting Mode is somewhat cute and unusual for a robo-dog to be in. Your avatar pretty much holds RoRo in its arm as RoRo's front legs hangs over. This is similar to a mode KiKi has, but very different in how to go about it. Since RoRo doesn't really recognize hand positions (for some reason), you will have to preset your hand so that it will trigger Nesting Mode correction. Otherwise, you'll just get a red X at this time.
The biggest draw, no doubt, will be the final two modes of RoRo. What is this mode? Armor! That's right! RoRo has two different Armor modes! Chest Plate Mode features RoRo's face as the front part of the chest plate. The rest of RoRo transforms into the various joints that keep the armor on. Headgear Mode features RoRo's face as the central part of the helmet. The front legs are pulled inward to the point where they disappear, and the hind legs act like braces that clip just above the ears.
Unfortunately, you cannot equip two RoRos at the same time. It would appear, given the drop down menu and what steps you need to go through to "turn on" Nesting Mode, that RoRo isn't a hand-held item. Oh well, who would want to look like a Bull Dog Knight anyway?
KiKi Kitty Plushie This little thing is so cute, you can't help but want it! It is the first hand-held plushie in all of Gaia! As such, you are given a wide variety as to how to hold it. Or you could not hold it and have it sit on the top of your head like the G-CORP's Grunny!
However, this cutie isn't without its humor.
One of the last poses features this cute kitty going evil on you as it bites your hand to hold on. If you've ever played Sam & Max Hits The Road for the PC back in the 1990's, KiKi's face will look like a certain masocistic rabbit that anyone familar with the LucasArts games knows and loves.
Another one of its poses is what I call "The Big Brother" pose. Basically, the Avatar Artists knew that not everyone will like the kitty. So, they included a pose that looks like what most big brothers do with their little sister's plushie. Basically, it looks like your avtar is holding a cat upside-down by the tail. Cruel, yes, but remember that this is just a plushie and not a real cat. It does look rather helpless, however.
Conclusion What is there left to say about these two? That they match with pretty much anything you can possibly have in your inventory because they stand out on their own so much? Yeah, that's probably all I can say.
So go out and donate to Gaia or buy one of the items on the marketplace before prices get stupidly high already! Why are you still reading this?! You better already have had one or the other (or both)!
