Yesterday (06-01/23) was a full day! My friend drove us out to Philpot, Ky to explore the abandoned Philpot Elementary School. It was abandoned in 2005. We spent a few hours trying to explore every nook and cranny. I took so many pictures! It was very interesting to imagine what the children there might have experienced during the last year or so. I found some old kiddie chairs that someone had spray painted the words, "Consenting age" behind. Eeuuughh. We were able to explore the whole school and luckily came across no adversity like police, homeless, or ne'er-do-wells. After exploring we realized we really were the only ones in that entire building. We laughed at some of the grafitti. Apparently some of the artists must have been into memes as we saw the Lenny face and, "Okay, Boomer". Ha! Speaking of Grafitti, if there is a Matthew that was present in Philpot Elementary School in Kentucky, TODAY marks the two year anniversary of your grafitti. "Matthew 06-02-21"

Afterwards we went swimming in my friend's pool and relaxed and played around in it.

After that we went to the Ohio River and went kayaking! We kayaked to the other side of the river. When we got there my friend slipped and fell in! I remained dry luckily. There was a steep hill with no trails covered in tons of greenery so we used the branches stemming from random places to climb upwards to the forest. After climbing we ended up relaxing for a bit, but when I peered through all the trees behind me I thought I spotted a trail. We waded through the grasses and shrubs until we hit the trail. So we explored the trail for a little while until we figured it was time to return to the kayaks as the Sun was falling fast. When we got back to them we kayaked back to the shore of our origin and then went back to their place. I took one more dip in the pool, ate some grub, had a beer, then they took me back to my apartment so I could be prepared for work the next morning. I took a shower when I got home and ended my busy day.
