Just like I thought. Mighty's terrified of this forest, and if it wasn't for me, he probably would've gotten himself lost or killed. I don't have the sorcerer's ring with me, so we did have to depend on his novice light magic to get through some of the brambles. That's about all he did though. The rest was up to me.
We went there to collect more data from the light sources in the forest, but we came across something interesting instead. We found a sealed chest that was difficult to open. I heated the lock on it until the metal was soft enough for us to break it. I made a bet that there was a pineapple gel in it, and Mighty bet that it was a holy bottle. We were both wrong. It was an old tablet with ancient words carved into it. I could only make out a few words, so we'll have to take it to Raine so she can decipher it for us, but it sounds like it's part of a clue to a specific location.
As we continued through the forest we found another chest. We went through the same process and another tablet was inside. This time I could only make out the words "reality" and "worlds". We found two more tablets, and one of them had "Umacy" written on it. As I thought, these tablets map out specific locations, but neither of us could figure out exactly what it meant. Since we couldn't make much sense of it, Mighty put the tablets in his bag and we continued though the forest.
When we finally did find a sufficient light source for his research it was dark, so we ended up having to stay the night. I lead him to the area where my friends and I fought the Sword Dancer two years ago since monsters usually don't go near that part of the forest. It was a long day so I tried to get some much-needed sleep, but he kept yelling whenever he heard a twig snap or the leaves rustle. I told him to shut up and that the forest wasn't really cursed, but he never listens to me. I guess I'm not sleeping tonight. Maybe I should have just taken him to Mizuho...

Also, I should mention in case anyone didn't do/know about the sidequest in Symphonia, Mighty is not my original character. He was a kid that lived in Palmacosta that went to some prestigious school that Genis got recommended for. Probably everyone knows about this already, but in case you don't, I won't spoil everything that happens in the sidequest.
Now, about Karen... I swear, the name just came to me randomly. I didn't realize that I basically made a meme character until later. Now she's stuck with the name Karen, so it is what it is, I guess lol.
Again, probably everyone knows about this already, but in case you didn't, there really is a sidequest in Exire with Raine and Genis's mother, Virginia. I just wanted to take it further since I wished there was more closure in the game.
