Chapter Eight Get me Out of here!!! ****************************************
Meanwhile, Queen-tintin and company were busy making their way through the labyrinth. They were sticking together when they suddenly came across XxlilgothkittyxX, who was walking towards them.
“HALT! Who goes there?” Queen-tintin asked as Eponnine, Ap_Y, spriteandapplepie, and Talesian took aim with the bows they held.
“We will shoot if you do not stop and identify yourself” spriteandapplepie announced as he held the bow, ready to release an arrow.
XxlilgothkittyxX raised an eyebrow and grinned. “Well, well. Just the people I was looking for.” Her eyes went black as she began muttering in what sounded like Latin. “Timor non posse evadere. Et nos unum sumus.” Roughly translated, I’m told that this means “The fear of not being able to escape. We are one.” This began as a quiet murmur, but soon grew louder and louder as she looked into the faces of each of them.
“Shoot her” Ap_Y cried out.
But just as with the previous time at Queen-tintin Drop for the other group, it was futile. However this time, the bows appeared to have a mind of their own as the bows started laughing in high pitched squeals. The sky turned pitched back and rained blood until XxlilgothkittyxX finally stopped her repetitive chanting and spoke once again. “Welcome to the realm of DARKNESS!”
With that, each of them found themselves in a similar situation as the others, in that they were seemingly each in a room that was pitch black beyond any known shade of black.

Maybe it was seconds, perhaps hours. It might even have been days in which each of if began to grow crazy in that environment. No sound echoed, and we could hear our own heartbeats and the sound of blood coursing through our bodies as we each were confined to our own spot. Regardless, it was a truly maddening situation.
Whomever it was that coined the phrase “It couldn’t possibly get any worse”, needs to be put in the shoes of one of us in this predicament, for just a few minutes in order to change that conclusion to how each of us were apparently feeling. That things would clearly be getting far worse as time progressed.
Indeed, they did get worse. Because with each of us completely alone in absolute darkness, we were unaware of the next illusion which Lix Tetrax was going to create for each individual member of our famous and terrific guild. An illusion that would give me a reminder of my forgotten past.
It started with what appeared to be a large screen appearing before the eyes of each individual member, casting a snowy screen and static noise in our ears. After a few seconds, an image would appear. That image was different for each individual person, and yet it was also following a theme of planting seeds of doubt in our minds and hearts. For me, Waffle King Richard, it was showing all of the guild members turning to me and yelling that this was all my fault, and that they wished that I had never been born.
It was more painful to hear Markangel mention that he was certain that my parents must have rejected me, and that no one could ever love, nor be friends with a sad, pathetic loser like me.
“Waffle King Richard, it was a mistake beyond my wildest imagination to think of you as a friend” Queen-titin said before slapping me in the face.
Indeed, angelic snow angel, Pink Fregia, and Lilith Amarath all took turns hitting me with a baseball bat in the video, all whilst decrying that they wish I would just die.
Even Legion of Oreos got involved, saying that if I were dead, life would be so much more wonderful. For all the evil of the world, including such things as the Holocaust in World War II, the Rwandan genocide, the September 11th attacks… They were all unquestionably and unequivocally my fault. If I died, those events would never have happened, and humanity would be living on a safer planet Earth.
As I watched the film, there seemed to be this small voice inside of me which was telling me “You see that? It’s completely true. Don’t you see Richard? If you were to vanish, then the world would be so much better off. I don’t think you should need reminding of what happened 20 years ago in Guildford, but it is amusing to me to show you just how much humanity hates you. So let us take a look at some of the things which were done to you by your classmates at that religious school, shall we?”
The screen went dark for a moment, during which I could feel my heart rate and breathing increase. I really did NOT want to be reminded of what should in my mind and heart have been buried for all eternity.
The voice seemed to be tempting me at that point. “Don’t be like that, Richard. You need to remember your past, and know that you cannot escape from it by denying it ever happened.”
Suddenly, the screen showed a scene that I had wished would never come to light again. A memory that I would have never even wished upon my worst enemies. There I was, sitting on stage in Drama class, and I was about to learn just how much my classmates despised me having been who I was.
The teacher left us all in absolute trust that nothing could go wrong, heading to the main office in order to make a phone call. One of my classmates proceeded to pick up a twenty pound stage weight before quietly making his way up behind me in my chair. We had broken up into small groups for an acting exercise, but what quickly began as another class of drama, turned ugly. He slammed the weight onto my left foot, causing me to scream in agony. The other students then began laughing as two of them climbed the ladder up to the overhang where a rope was being stowed. After making a crude noose on one end, the rope was lowered, before the noose was quickly wrapped around my neck, and the rope yanked upon hard. As they got me lifted off of the floor and struggling to breathe, one of the girls in the class ripped my shirt before taking a knife out of her pocket.
The pressure of the blade carving into the skin on my back brought my arms back in an effort to stop her, causing some of the other girls to grab my arms and hold them still as she continued to draw a pentagram with the knife’s blade in my back.
The students continued to cheer as two more stage weights were slammed into my thighs whilst the rope became even more taught around my neck. The next thing I knew, I was in hospital. Apparently, one of the Deputy Headmasters had walked in just after I lost consciousness and had had staff send for an ambulance.
When I returned to the school a couple of weeks later to do my GCSE exams in private away from the other students, I found out that the Headmaster had not issued out any punishments because he didn’t want the community to get the impression that the school was a haven for bullies.
“Yes. That’s it” the voice said inside of me. “I’ve been with you all this time Richard. Ever since that day when you were beaten by your classmates, who simply had to verbally say “Sorry” to the Headmaster for what they had done to you, in order to get out of any punishment. Face it, no one has ever truly cared about you. Anyone you dated would openly cheat on you, and your friends only are pretend friends in reality. No one could ever really want to be your friend, because you are worthless to them. But I’m your friend.”
Suddenly, a kitchen carving knife appeared next to the screen. As I looked towards it, the voice continued.
“Yes, that’s it Richard! Just take that knife, and then you can end all of your suffering and be free of this mortal coil. That will prove to everyone that you aren’t a coward. Staying alive is the coward’s option in life. But if you kill yourself right here and now, you will not only be free, but so will I.”
Reaching forward, I took hold of the handle and picked up the knife, seemingly unable to control myself.
“Yes, that’s it. Just a quick slit across the throat, and you’ll be free.”
At that moment, a thought came across my mind. “How do I truly know that my friends in this day and age really feel that I would be better off dead?”
“Well, I suppose it can’t be helped. Allow me to reunite you with them, if that is what you wish to do before you commit to your own death. A small price to pay, so I will oblige.”
At that point, I found myself in a room with everyone else around me. “Here they are Richard. They are all here, and have been all along. Why don’t you say hello?” the voice whispered softly into my ear.
Before I could even do that, Queen-tintin rushed over and looked at me with a pained expression in her eyes. “YOU JERK!” she screamed, before slapping her hand as hard as she could across my face.
“HOW DARE YOU SHOW YOUR FACE AROUND HERE AFTER WHAT YOU DID?! GIVE ME BACK MY FAMILY NOW!!!” She then drove her foot as hard as she could into my shin.
“What are you talking about” I asked as I tried to maintain my composure as best as I could.
Markangel then punched me across the left cheek. “GET OUT OF HERE! You’re not my friend! No friend would do what you did! Go on! Get away from me! I don’t want to ever see your disgusting face around me again Richard! What a fool I was to think that you of all people could possibly have been my friend!”
“No one will ever be your friend, because you’re such a pathetic loser” angelic snow angel commented, before pointing to the door. “GO!”
Dejected, and thoroughly confused, I headed out of the door, before seeing Lilith slam the door behind me. As I began walking away, I thought I could hear cheers from the other side of the door, as if everyone was delighted and celebrating the fact that I was supposedly out of their lives forever.
Sitting down on a nearby park bench, I sighed. The last of my friends had left me, and once again, I was completely alone. I couldn’t even shed a single tear as my heart was just far too crushed at this point.
“Do you believe me know” the voice said as it once returned. “No one could ever truly want to be with you. You’re too rotten for humans to want to associate with. Not to mention ugly. So what do you have left to live for in this world?”

Lix Tetrax meanwhile was being applauded by all the demons for his involvement in this grand illusion.
“I’m telling you Lix, the looks on the AMG guild members when they saw those false realities you had given them, in which they were lead to believe that Waffle King Richard had not only betrayed them, but had tortured their families as a method of getting to the guild, that was a truly Oscar winning performance on your part.” Zagan then raised his chalice of pigs’ blood.
“A little bit more of a push, and I think we’ll have Waffle King Richard reach his breaking point and actually kill himself” Daevas commented. “At that point, we will all be free to destroy not only the spirit of Christmas, but also the whole of humanity as well.”
“And the absolute best part about all of this?” Hurakan added. “The AMG have wholeheartedly blamed Richard for everything that they saw, without knowing that it was all just a mere illusion! They thought that he had betrayed them, but in reality, he was betrayed by them. Oh, I can’t wait until I get to point out the irony to them as they grovel and beg for us to spare their lives. Can you imagine the looks on their faces when that happens? Oh, it’s going to be a pure treat of bliss to see the reality of the scope of the current situation hit them, when they discover that they’ve all made a horrific mistake!”
“So much for the power of friendship” Zagan replied, before turning back to the crystal before him, in which he could see Richard sitting completely dejected upon that park bench. “Now then, let’s see if we can get that Waffle King Richard to freely cooperate with our wants and needs by taking his own life here and now.”
“Indeed Zagan” replied a newcomer to the party. Zagan turned to see that Belial and Ornias had both arrived, and that it was Ornias who had spoken.
“Welcome Belial and Ornias” Zagan said with an evil grin. “The entertaining part of our game is about to begin. After all the preparation, I would say that it is clearly time to bring this all towards its dramatic final conclusion, wouldn’t you both agree?”
“Quite rightly so” Belial replied, before turning to the crystal. “So show us your powers at work, Zagan.”
