Hidden Chapter 2"Why am I here?"
I stared into the crowd that gathered around our aircraft. I was recently rescued by one of the soldiers I think that live here. Its a very peaceful village.
"Blake...?" I heard my little sister yank on my arm.
"What is it, Crystal?"
"Are we going to be safe here from the monsters that took mom and dad?"
I froze when she mentioned our parents. Our town was struck by an earthquake of 10.0 on the Richter scale. My parents had died trying to get Crystal and I to safety. I bit my tongue and said, " I don't know.'
'Welcome, refugees," a teenage girl said,"My name is Makina Katamoshi.I am the captain of the Akasha Army. I am certain that you have come here for safety. For that, I assure you, that you will be safe. We have the most highly trained soldiers here. Over 7.4 million. How we have this many? Only a quarter are humans. Others are animals, robots, and guardians. Here, we will have school for all under the age of 25. I know that may seem harsh but we must keep up with what is happening to our world now. I will now like to introduce some of my elites."
I saw her nod to her right, and a girl about my height stepped out from the crowd. She wore black motorcycle gloves with the fingers cut off, showing her bare fingers, black pants, a black tank top, and lastly, a mask covering her whole face. The mask had a dirty-blonde color to it.
"This is Mizuki Hakatari. I have been her guardian for two years now. What makes Mizuki special is that she," the one called Makina placed a hand on Mizuki's shoulder," she has special powers."
Makina nodded to one of her soldiers, who wore the same as Mizuki. He rolled a large tank of water in front of them.
"Mizuki." Makina nodded at her.
Mizuki lifted her hand up, and the water followed. Mizuki bent her hand in many different ways, all in which made the water beautiful.
I stared, memorized.
"Mizuki can control all the elements. All which I have given her the power to do." Makina nodded twice at Mizuki.
The water turned to ice. It felt to the ground and shattered into millions of pieces.
" I am sorry, Captain. I seem to have lost concentration." I heard a voice from behind the mask.
"It's alright, Mizuki." she replied with in a sweet way.
"Her voice sounded very familiar. I havent heard it in awhile but I know that voice from somewhere." I thought.
Mizuki balled her hands into a fist, and the ice rejoined. Mizuki lifted one of her fists, and the ice followed. She took her other fist and forcefully opened it. The ice caught on fire. Then, she opened both of her hands and the fire and ice turned to stone. I heard her hiss, and the stone turned into a whirlpool of air.
"Amazing, isn't it?"Makina swooned," Now, Mizuki. Ex court our friends to the dinner hall. Its time for supper."
The same soldier that brought out the tank rolled the now empty tank away. The crowd dispersed, Mizuki still standing there.
When everyone was gone she said," Hello. As you know my name is Mizuki Hakatari. I will be your ex court to the dinner hall. From then on, I am sad to say that I may only see some of you in class, or around the village. This way." she turned on her heels and lead us off the loading dock.
Something about her reminded me of my friend, Audrey. She died in a fire two years ago. Before she left, we had a huge fight, and I never got to say Im sorry. The guilt ate away at me. I missed her. Something about Mizuki reminded me about Audrey. a part of me actually thought Mizuki was Audrey for a second. I scolded myself for thinking that, But whatever I felt, or thought, the real question is...
WHO IS MIZUKI HAKATARI.
