"carlisle?" the voice that rang from bella's soft lips scared her. she sounded a bit like alice. "yes, carlisle. you know, he doesnt want anybody to die...and well, that was your last chance. either become a vampire or...be dead-dead." Jasper sighed, then started to run his hand through bella's silky hair. "b-but you said i would be fine. i wouldnt have to-" Jasper covered her mouth and looked out the window. Bella's cleared out eyes stared, just to see a shadow running away from the house. she looked closer....closer....closer, until she saw the familiar blonde hair. "James." Jasper said the same time as the new-born vampire. "i'll be right back. i'll send alcie up." Jasper's special power, the ability to control each others emotions, overtook bella with the sensation of calmness. Downstairs bella heard jasper tell alice to come up and protect bella if it was needed, and she heard the front door slam as Jasper walked out of the house, the same time alice had zoomed up to sit next to bella. "dont worry;" Alices calming voice soothed bella farther "; nothing will happen. Jasper took emmett, Edward, and Carlisle out with him to scent James out. Esme is right in the living room incase he decided to come here." Bella sighed then sat up. "can i walk around? the burning....its coolnig off, but i wish to walk." bella asked as politely as possible, and alice nodded. They helped each other out of the room and started walking throughout the house, but only the upper level. they still needed people throughout the house, so they would alarm each other easier if james popped in....
