Nekea's Story chap 1-?
This one i'v just started but have had it planned in my head for a while. Please leave comments on how you think its sounding so far ^_^ enjoy

breif description: Nekea Moiukai is a half cat girl, and half ghost. She used to be human, dieing not long ago, she is sent to the afterlife. When not being able to take being apart from her love, Hegotsu, she dares to enter through the portal to earth to visit him. meanwhile, there is a war going on between people of the afterlife, who technically have become demons. The war is on people who became demons from their actual bloodline, and who became one from coming to the afterlife. Those who have became it through their bloodline are supposably more powerful, and should run the afterlife, along with the main worlds, leaveing the others, who are said to be pure, yet weak, left on the worlds that are unused and also unexplored. This will split up many friends and family's in the process. However Nekea, along with the other afterlife citizens are unaware of this planned war, but will soon be finding out.

Nekea's Story

The air was crisp that night, cold and bitter. The same as it had been for the past week now; however it always seemed like this to me in a way. I am Nekea Moiukai, was 18 years old, human at one time in my life on earth, average looking with light red-brown hair, and green eyes. Now dead, being half cat (from my parents blood line) And also half ghost, which was something within my own blood.
You see, you start off life on earth as a mere human, live your life, which happens to be planned out in an order of events. This is all planned out within the afterlife, which we call the demon world, becuase technically we are demons. The blood that rushes through your veins most likely carries another bloodline from your ancestors who had spirital powers. This helps determine what you will be in the afterlife. The demon world has three main worlds, and somewhere around a thousand or so other smaller ones that we can transport ourselves to at anytime. Afterall, we need a lot of space for all of those who have died. But either way, all of the worlds are AT LEAST 5 times larger than the size of earth-so I doubt we will be running out of room anytime soon, considering not even a qaurter of these worlds have been actually filled. And you might be wondering why there are some ghosts within the human world. Well, most of the rumors on the reason why is probably very much true. When you leave something behind, and you havent moved on enough, sometimes the deceased will be able to stay within the human world for an amount of time to help them. Though this is decided by the afterworld rulers, because it is something very serious to deal with. If a ghost goes through too much depression, and truly wishes to not exist anymore, then they can dissapear. The leaders try to prevent that from happening, so depending on the situation and the person, will decide whether or no they can stay on earth for a bit longer. Humans do not know about the after-life, because they are supposed to live life on earth first. I guess one reason for that is to teach them life lessons, so they are matured more before they come here. However Im not completly sure why on this, that is only a guess. I also do not understand why some people die so young also, but I guess that is our fate, and we have to go with it.
But anyways. I have been dead now for onlt a week now. Had gotten killed in a car accident heading home to my new house, and to see my boyfriend. I guess what makes this sadder is that I was right in front of the house when this happened, and my boyfriend had been on the front porch waiting for me. Damned car pulled out in front of me. I was always accident prone though, so I guess I had it coming sometime. However to make this worse, I didnt exactly dye instantly either. We took a rush trip to the hospital. My parents had died a few years back too, so I had just finnished highschool while living at my grandparents house, then moved into a new house with my boyfriend a month before dyeing, and was ready for college soon. I was imediatly sent to the afterlife, where i met the leaders, and they talked to me, making sure everything was ok with me. Well, at the time I was devistated, and wanted to go back to Hegotsu on earth. I wasnt taking it easily, but I guess it wasnt enough for them to let me go back to see him. But a day later is when I figured out about the portal that can transport us to earth. The portal is heavily guarded sense if anyone used it for the wrong reasons, the afterlife could be reveiled to humans. But I wasnt worried. I wouldnt do anything wrong. I new that my boyfriend wouldnt reveil us. Hegotsu was always trustful and loyal. Now being half ghost, I harbored a power that would be of good use to me. Turning invisable.
Now sense the portal was heavly gaurded, I would have to be extra causious and alert. I didnt know if they had any special alarms or anything. I also had to be very quiet, considering they could still feel or hear me. But either way, it was a risk I was willing and had to take.
I looked around me causiously. It was completly still, no wind to carry my scent, but also quiet enough to hear a pin drop. I stepped lightly and quickly through the overcast night. There was no moon tonight, only gradual moving clouds that filled the night sky. I was still in visable form, only making my way to the portal for the time being. I couldnt hold off being invisable too long, well, not past 15 to 20 minutes without a short break at least. I shuttered as a cold burst of air hit me behind my neck. This was not wind however. I spun around with large eyes, falling back somewhat when i seen a tall shady figure behind me. I covered my own mouth and peered closer at the figure. I bit my lip. It was one of the portal guards. I guess I was getting close to it. I should have known they would have people in patrol walking around the area too. A stupid mistake on my part.
"Name?" The figure said in a deep, yet monotone voice. Shadows caressed most of his pallid face, all I could make out was deep brown hair, and a dull moss green eye, his hair was hideing his opposite one. He wore his portal badge on the colar of his black uniform, which was actually quite intimidating along with his tall figure and deep voice. Oops. I had spaced out for a moment.
"Im Nekea.." I almost stuttered, but somehow made my voice come out quite clearly.
"Nekea, I command you to head back to village grounds, or I will have to report you. The leaders should have went over this with you from the beggining, so you should know the outcomes."
I felt myself shiver again. If you are caught within the portal area, which is blocked off by a fence all the way around, I should add, you will be asked to leave-in which they will walk you back out of the portal area. if you refuse it results in 5 months in jail time. If you are caught again, it ends in execution, with no exeptions of the purpose-and if that happens, you are forever and completly gone. Theres not another afterlife after this world.
"Yes sir." I turned around towards heading back towards the village, which was about a ten minute walk from where I was at. The portal was only another five or ten minutes away from where I was caught. I frowned as the guard began to walk beside me. I wouldnt be able to make a run from the portal gates to the portal. I can barely last twenty minutes, and if I had complications...It just wouldnt work. I would have to start now. I looked over at the guard again. He looked awfully tired. His head was faced somewhat at the ground as he walked, as if he was looking for something. If he got enough in a daze, I could probably turn invisable and make a run for it. My stomach was getting upset. I was risking my life, my actual life, I would never be with Hegotsu in that way..but I sure the hell didnt want to wait fifty more years either. A week without him was already too much. I couldnt bare not seeing him any longer.
I had my mind set. I wasnt turning back now.
As I ran I could see the portal in the distance. it was nothing but a simple transfluent clear gap within the air, which surprisingly didnt look out of place at all here. There were black tall pillars around it which streched up into the sky. Chains were wrapped around the pillars about seven foot up to keep most people out.
