CHAPTER 13
Once again, I was sure that I would wake up dead-And once again, I had been lucky. Well, kind of anyways.
My eyes opened up to many people surrounding me. They were not human-I senced that right away. They held a lot of magic, but it was dark magic. I then suddenly noticed black angel wings sticking out behind each person. They were all dark angels, or dark wizards.
I was not really scared of their species, although many usually were-Thinking they were an evil kind. But no, dark magic did not always mean evil and destruction. It could mean good things also. Dark angel's, or wizards often just broke the rules of magic, but usually for good reasons. But for breaking these rules-many thought of them as bad people. They were known to often experiment with magic, and were unbeleivably strong with it also-making people fear them, and think of them as evil. Magic beign's are not supposed to experiment with magic, because it can be very dangerous, costing lives, and createing chaos and destruction.
I sat up slowly, and looked around me as my foggy vision began to clear. I then realized that no pain struck me. Looking at where the arrow had hit my shoulder, I seen that there was no wound at all there. Only a hole in my dress, and dried blood around it. I also noticed that there was no wound on my wing. They must have healed me. I smiled, and looked at a person who stepped out of the crowd around me.
He was tall, and very muscular. Blueish silver bangs covered each side of his face. His hair wasnt majorly long, but kind of spikey. He looked around age twenty, but I was wondering if he really was. Most magical beigns do not show their age, and always look young for a very long time. Elven ears stuck out each side of his head with a couple earrings hanging off of them. He wore a simple grey t-shirt and decorated long shorts. He studied me with his grey-blue eyes. I had never seen eyes quite like his before. They were a very pale and dull blue, but the closer you looked, you seen the detail and life in them. they looked almost like ice, or crystals inside. They looked cold and rough, like an ocean in the midst of a great storm. But, at the same time, they held warmth and love.
My smile faded as he looked at me. I didnt know quite what to say, I figured he would say something soon. I really didnt want to interupt his thoughts. But, suddenly I remembered something. Yoru!
I stood up and looked around me frantically, seeing no one. I then looked up at the guy who stood in front of me. "Where did you take yoru?!" I blurted in his face.
He didnt reply to me for a moment, and just continued stareing at me with that same look. I wondered what he was thinking. "He is in the tent over there miss.." He finally replied, and pointed to a small tent to the far right. I looked over and ran to it. Yoru lay on his side, his eyes closed, and an arrow sticking out of his wing, and leg.
Tears filled my eyes, along with many thoughts. I heard footsteps behind me and imediately turned around. "Why isnt he healed too?! Is he ok?" I blurted out again with huge tearfilled eyes.
The guy looked down at me. "I am not sure if he will be ok miss. We are usually good at healing, but none of us seem strong enough to heal your friend. We are all weak right now, thanks to the war thats been going on. It's made things very hard around here."
I looked back down at Yoru. "Why could you heal me, and not him?" I murmurred.
"Because, you did not get paralized from the arrows that hit you. The arrow that hit his wing has paralized him miss. We are all too weak for our spell to heal paralization to work. I am sorry."
I bent down by Yoru, and ran my hand over his still face, reminding me of the day that I had lost Tsukai. A teardrop fell on his face, making me realize that I was crying. I wiped the tears from my eyes, thinking of what I could maybe do. I knew that I held a lot of power, enough to do anything. I sat up and looked back at the guy. "Tell me the spell to heal him. I think I can do it!"
The man nodded at me, and walked away from the tent.
I looked back at unconceious Yoru.
I had to help him.
Somehow...
I could not lose another friend. Another person I was begginning to get close to.
No.
I just couldnt let it happen again to me!
Footsteps suddenly distracted me from my thoughts. I was suddenly handed a large red, black laced, leather spell book. the guy pointed to one of the spells. "Read this."
I nodded, and began to pronounce the spell, clearly, and putting all my heart into it. I closed my eyes tightly, putting my hands over Yoru's chest and said the ancient sounding spell. I could feel power draining out of me slowly. Finnishing the spell I looked down at Yoru.
Nothing had seemed to have changed.
"I guess all I can do now is wait and see if it worked, huh?" I asked the guy that stood behind me, then stood up and looked at him.
The guy nodded, and said nothing. There was an awkward silence for a moment. I walked over to him. "Well, thank you for healing me, and telling me about that spell. I am Rineco Suki." I smiled at him.
"You are welcome, and I am Rioshi. It is nice to meet you miss Rin." He smiled also.
wow, he finally smiled. I thought . "I have a question, would you have any idea on how far we are from the next town? I have somewhere that I need to get to."
"Probably a two days walk, and about a five hour fly." He replied. "If you dont mind me asking, where are you exactly headed to?"
"Well..." I paused. I couldnt tell him what was all going on, and who I was. I didnt want to get shunned from this village too. "Uhmm, Im just headed to.." I paused shortly again, trying to think. "I am off to visit some of my family. They are a couple towns away from the upcomeing one. I forgot the name of it." I replied, trying my hardest not to make it obvious that I was lieing.
The man shrugged. "Alright then. Good luck with your journey then." He smiled, believeing my story, or so I hoped.
"Would you like a room to stay at for the night? Doesnt look like your friend will be awakeing at any moment. We also have a huge feast in a couple hours (at midnight) in the middle of our village. Everyone is invited, so you may come if you would like." Rioshi offered politely.
"Uhmm, sure." I smiled. "I will take a room for the night and join you and the rest of the village.
"Alright then. I shall show you to your room." He replied, then turned his back and headed out of the tent. Before leaveing, I looked back at unconcience Yoru. He had moved slightly as I glanced at him. A smile spread across my face, in knowing that the spell must have worked. I then walked out of the tent, following Rioshi through the busy village.
It almost seemed impossible to move. The village was swarming with people. "What is going on today?" I asked loudly.
"Tonight is a full moon. Our powers are the strongest during a full moon for some reason. So we celebrate it, and celebrate our kind, along with other magical beign's." He said, leading me into a vacant tent.
"You may stay here as long as you like miss Rineco." He smiled. "There is a river down the trail to the left of our village. You may wash up there if you would like to. Dinner will also be ready in a couple hours. Like I said, you are welcome to join us. Just make yourself at home." He smiled once more and walked out of the tent.
I looked around me. The tent was medium sized, and had a bed neatly layed out on the floor of the tent. It was simple, but atleast a place to stay.
I swung my bag off my shoulder and layed it down on the floor. Stretching, I yawned. I would atleast have the chance to relax now. It also felt good to finally have that heavy bag off my shoulder.
I stared down at the bag, letting out a tired sigh. I think I packed too much. I confessed to myself.
Suddenly, I remembered something. Something that I was ordered to do. I had to get to the next town and stop those humans!
I looked outside the tent with huge eyes, seeming frozen in my thoughts. I couldnt leave wounded Your here. I just couldnt do that. Besides, it wouldnt be the best idea for me to travel alone. But I needed to get to those humans!
I thought for a moment. I had passed out when I had gotten here, and who knows for how long. It was most likely too late. The time I would get there, I would be exhausted, and it would be too late. I didnt have a choice. I had to stay here and wait for Yoru to awaken.
I had made up my mind, and figured that I should get cleaned up before supper. Swinging my heavy bag on my shoulder again, I headed outside and down the trail.
The trail seemed lit by the delicate moonlight above me. I looked up admireing it for a moment, then looked back ahead of me.
A pond shimmered ahead of me, the moon making a glare on it. The large pond was still and looked like glass. It was not dark, and cold looking like I had assumed it would be. It was a turquise blue color, like the ocean. Steam spilled from the top of it on to the grey rock surrounding it.
I smiled. It looked very relaxing, considering it was not a pond at all. It was more like a hot spring.
I undressed completley, except for my bra and panties, and stepped in. A warm sensation seemed to rush through my veins, calming me, and making me feel very relaxed. The warmth of the water made my whole body tingle. I had gotten a cold chill as I walked in farther, then decided to dive under.
The spring was pretty deep, most likely around twelve foot deep. The bottom of the hot spring was nothing but soft white sand.
I came up for breath, looking through the steam that arose around me. I looked down in the water. I could see my reflection perfectly, as if I had been looking in a mirror. My wet hair flowed around me in the water, and clung tightly to my skin, covering my back, and chest. My tattoo's were a very bright blue, like the color of the sootheing water. My eyes shimmered brightly from the moon that hovered above me.
I dove back under the water, then came back up towards the shore, then walked out of the spring. I shivered as I stepped on to the warm rock that held in the water. The night was cold, since it was nearing autumn now. I hurried over to my bag, grabbing a towell that I had packed. (yes, I packed a lot of stuff)
After drying off, and ringing my hair out, I got a dress out of the bulgeing bag.
I had taken a couple of the dresses from the secret passage since Yoru had allowed me to, so I decided to wear one of them.
The antique dress was a delightful pale blue color, and also fit me to perfection. The top half was corsett like, being laced with silky silver ribbon. From there, the dress flared out to below my knee's, being embroidered with silver lace around the bottom. This dress was also laced up the back.
After getting dressed, I combed out my hair, then tied it in a pale blue ribbon that I had also found in Miasaki's room. I left my bang's down, letting them flow down my chest, and leaveing the rest of my hair losely tied in the ribbon and resting on my back.
I finnished packing up, and headed back towards the village.
The village seemed to be even bussier than it had been before, which hadnt seemed possible. There had to be atleast a thousand people crammed into that village, and were all walking around, or standing in groups talking, and trying to yell over eachother.
I had been very glad that my tent was somewhat away from all the chaos in the village. I had walked back to my tent, releaseing my over-filled bag on to the hard ground. Walking out of the tent, I headed over to Yoru's tent.
My heart pounded as I peaked in the tent-it was empty.
I was not sure whether to be happy or start spazzing out. Had Yoru been healed, and walked out to figure out what was going on, or had he been moved for some reason?
I turned around, ready to run off, and find Rioshi. I opened my mouth as I turned around to scream, but nothing seemed to come out. I fell over backwards on to the ground, looking at Yoru who had stood face to face with me. I glared at him, being unsure on what to say, and if I should yell at him for scareing the hell out of me.
Yoru stared back at me with a huge smile, after laughing. "Hi Rin." He said with another laugh.
I stood up. "Hi Yoru..." I said with a glare. "I see that you are doing better now, Im glad that your ok."
"Yea, thank you Rin, I know that you helped to heal me. I could still hear everything that you guys had said. So thank you." He smiled.
"Oh, your welcome." I smiled back, a twinge of shock running through me that Yoru was actually showing some gratitude for once.
"So, did you end up hearing about the feast that they are haveing tonight? Also, they offered us to stay here for a night, but we really have to get to the humans. Do you think that we're to late?"
"Hey now, one question at a time; I just woke up from being unconcious not to long ago, ya know?" He paused, and smiled again. "Yes, I know about the feast and that we can stay here; but I really do think that we need to get to the vampires, and stop the humans as soon as possible. Truthfully, I dont think we would make it there on time. I actually think that we are already too late. Not to mention, we both need a little bit of rest now. I guess..." He paused for a moment. "We should probably stay here; atleast for tonight, then leave out early in the morning, or evening."
"Ok, I guess that would be a good plan then." I agreed, then studied Yoru for a moment.
His white eye had turned more of a sliver color, and his pale blue eye, to a navy blue. He looked completly exhausted, but still held a slight smile, showing off his blueish lips. His eyes were not fully open, and were a purple like color along the bottom of his eyes. His slick light silver hair had turned into a matted mess. His skin was even paler than normal, and had a blueish tint to it, which didnt seem possible unless he was dead. Yoru stood somewhat hunched over, and leaning slightly against the tent, his clothing still blood stained from the few arrows that had hit him.
I frowned, worry running through me.
Yes, vampires are dead. We do have a heart in a way though, It works the same as a human heart, and looks the same also. But with a vampires heart, in a way it has a curse over it. The heart never gets old or tired. Just continuously keeps working until we are killed by one of our few flaws. But otherwise, we are immortal. We probably look dead to humans, like we have been in a corpse our whole lives, but without the rotting of our skin. But vampires are not nessesarly scary, or majorly dead looking. I mean, yes, we have abnormaly pale skin, sometimes unique color of eyes or hair, and we have sharp fangs, but that is about it. We could desguise ourselves as humans easily, we do not truthfully look that much different from them. Although, vampires also hold more beauty, and unique features than humans do also. So humans that see us, probably see us as being extrodinarly beautiful, with flawless features.
But Yoru looked different now. He didnt look like a vampire anymore. He actually looked dead. He looked more like a zombie than a vampire, just like he could drop dead at any second.
I knew that he would not die though. He was also immortal, since haveing vampire blood in him. But he could still get very sick, even from lack of rest and haveing exhaustion. It does take a lot to kill a vampire from just that, but it can happen. But I think the most common way that my kind dies is from not haveing blood when they need it.
So I was not worried about Yoru dieing, but he did look sick.
Snapping out of my troubled thoughts, I turned my attention back to Yoru who I noticed was beginning to sway back and forth. He had his eyes tightly closed, and held an expresion of pain.
Before I knew it, Yoru had dropped to the ground. I felt my body freeze in shock for a moment, then run up to him. Taking one look at his face, I knew that he needed blood, and quickly.
I ran off to my tent, which luckly was not too far away. Grabbding a couple bags of blood, I raced frantically back to Yoru while solding myself. Why hadnt I have thought of that right away? I should have known by just the way he looked. He was already weak from blood loss and exhaustion. He needed something to bring some life and energy back to him. Why hadnt I thought of that right away?
I stopped scolding myself, and ripped one of the bags open with my razor like fingernails.
Yoru was laying on his back now, holding tightly on to his chest. His eyes opened slightly when he noticed my presence along with the strong sent of the blood. We imediately met eyes, as I poured some of the crimson liquid down his throat. I imediately saw a change in him. A ll his muscles seemed to relax. His smooth pale color seemed to seep back into his skin. His eyes closed gradually as I finnished feeding the blood to him.
Laying the package on the ground, I looked down at him. He seemed to be ok now.
I smiled down at him as he opened his natural looking eyes, stareing back at me. Yoru slowly sat up, rubbing his eyes as if wakeing up from a long sleep.
There was silence for a moment. I looked around us, noticeing people walking right by, not aknowledging that Yoru was beggining to die only a few moments ago. I looked back at him, then stood up. "You ok?" I asked.
Yoru gradually stood up also, and replied once he was steady. "Yea, I think I am. Thank you once again." He said, then looked down at the grass covered ground.
"You sure? You still dont look so good. Maybe you should go and rest for atleast a couple hours." I said worriedly.
And yes, he was still somewhat an enemy to me, but at the same time, he was a freind now to me also. So I was going to make sure to never let another person that I had gotten close to, die. That would destroy me to see that happen again.
"Yea..." He paused. "I think I will be alright now though." He smiled, encourageing me that he was alright.
"Ok, if you say so. But next time I might not help you." I teased.
He laughed. "Yea, sure you wouldnt. Your to nice to let someone die."
I looked down sadly. "But I already have let someone die. I let my mother die, and I let Tsukai die also..." My voice began to break, and I could feel my chest get heavy. It did seem to be my fault. I mean, It was my mistake that I had gone to Tsuakai's house during my transformation. I could have also tried harder to help them. My life with Tsukai could have stayed the same. I smiled looking back on those memories of when we had been together, then realized that I had started to cry.
I quickly wiped the tears away, hopeing that Yoru hadnt noticed; but he had.
"That was not your fault Rineco! Dont you dare blame yourself for that. It is not your fault that you have two different forms, and your mother's, and boyfriend's death could not have been helped!" He yelled firmly at me.
"Yea..." I mumbled, still not beliveing him. No matter what, it would always be my fault, and my mistake on that day. It could have been prevented. I would never let myself forget about that day, and I would also not give up on finding a way to get Tsuaki back to me.
I still stared at the ground, but figured Yoru had already given up on convinceing me that it was not my fault, because he said no more.
I finally broke the silence again, also changeing the subject. "So will you be alright to go to the feast then?" I asked.
"Yea, I feel much better now." He smiled again. "What time does it start?"
"Uhm..should start anytime I think. Do you want to head to the middle of the village now?"
"Sure, we can go now if you would like to."
"Ok then." I agreed, and began walking with Yoru to the center of the village.

CHAPTER 14
The closer we seemed to get to the center of the village, the more busy it was.
I looked back at Yoru to make sure that he was still following behind me, and not lost somewhere in the crowd. It seemed impossibly to get anywhere without pushing through people. Apparently they were all very hungry. I stopped as we neared of what I guessed was the center.
The center of the town was an exquisite spot. It was surrounded by dozzens of markets, that seemed to have everything that you could possibly think of. It also had a small stage with a podium centering it, along with the small unique fountain that sat just to the right of the stage.
I studied the fountain for a moment. Crystal clear water filled it, with a black stone moon in the center if it, being surrounded by the water.
I looked to the stage, trying to see through all the people that stood in front of me, and were trying to see themselves. I just managed to make out a figure standing in the back of the podium, looking out over the people, as if he was about to make an important speech.
I glanced up at Yoru who was also looking at the figure behind the podium also.
Looking back at the figure, I noticed that he suddenly put his hand up, signaling the crowd to hush, in which they obeyed.
You could not hear a sound from anyone as he began to speak to the people.
"Ahem, I have gathered us here for this feast, to celebrate our magic, along with all other magical creatures. But, there is another reason for the feast, and this speech. We have just learned that tomorrow night, some unwelcomed visiters will be passing through here." He paused as the crowd went into a sudden burst of talking.
After a moment, he had raised his hand again, signaling the crowd to stop. The crowd imediately obeyed him, and he began talking again.
"I know, I know. We are in hard times right now, but we are still strong spirited and strong hearted. We believe in eachother and in the strength of our magic. With that, we can accomplish anything. We do not have a choice here. It is a life or death situation here." He finnished.
A voice echoed through the crowd. A young, teenage like voice. "But why?!" He yelled over the crowds mumbleing. "Why are they comeing here in the first place?! Who are they?!" He yelled, his voice strong.
"These people that are comeing here are humans. As you know, we have been weak latley, our magical guard is down. Humans can pass through here. So now, they join our war too."
"How did they find out?!" The young, yet mature voice yelled out above the crowd again.
"We are not sure completely. I have heard though, that some magical kind had been recently caught. They were said to expose magical beign's and provide them with information, or there would be major consequences. I do not agree with the magical beigns decisions. It is all of our responsibilities to still protect our magical beign's, even if there are problems between us."
The crowd went into a sudden uproar. I looked back at Yoru, guiltyness surgeing through my veins. I automatically felt sick to my stomach. All I could hear was my heart pounding rapidly as a rush of heat ran up through me. It was my fault. I hadnt gotten to the vampires in time before they exposed the information on magical beigns. I may have just added another species into our war, and which will cause much more blood to shed.
I felt like I was going to pass out, and imediately turned around, pushing my way out of the crowd and heading right towards my tent. I could sence Yoru following me, trying to keep up. My vision went blurred with tears as I reached my tent, and turned around to come face to face with Yoru. I did not jump at his sudden presence this time, I just glared into his eyes, sending out a message of warning to leave me alone now. But he didnt budge. He just continued to stare into my eyes with no emotion, and didnt move a muscle. If looks could kill, he would have dropped dead right there. "Please Yoru, just leave me alone for a moment." I warned firmly. "No." He answered back. "Yoru, I just need to be alone for a moment, I need to think." That was my last warning. I could feel tears of guilt begin to stream down my red cheeks now. "No, I am not leaveing you here like this. I told you that I would help you with this, and I will not take back that promise. We are a team now, and I am here to help. We will think together." He argued back.
I gave him another enraged glare, then turned around to go in my tent. I suddenly felt Yoru's arms wrap around my waist, holding me back from going anywhere. I couldnt move. "Yoru!" I yelled at him, and pushed towards the tent with all my might. I still didnt budge from his tight grip around my waist. I gave up. "Fine." Yoru held on to me for a moment longer, then released. "Ok then, now that your settled down." He pasued again, and wiped the tears from my cheeks. "Like I said, we can think together on this. I am here to help, you know?" He pasued again, the pushed me towards my tent, in which we both sat down.
"Ok, so the humans will be heading this way soon. We can either help them fight, or we can figure out a way to stop them before they get here."
"Ok, I say that we get the vamps out of there so they cant give away anything else. Then figure out the humans exact plans, and try to stop them before they get here. Sound good?" I asked.
"Hmm..yea, that sounds like a good plan. I guess we need to get going then. c'mon!" He said, then got up and walked out of the tent.
I followed him. "Lets find Rioshi, and thank him for letting us stay here. We also need to tell him that we will be helping." I headed off into the dispersed crowd, that were now lined up at the tables, filling their plates with food. "There!" I pointed. Rioshi stood among the crowd that were eating, while carrying on with conversations. Walking over to him, I imediately grabbed his attention. He spun around towards me after finnishing his last couple words with the girl he was talking with. "Hello Rioshi. We have to be on our way now. We are going to find a way to help you with this war. So thank you for your hospitality. I smiled. "Help us? How?" He asked. "We will tell you if it ends up working. But we have to go now. Hope to see you soon." I spun around with a smile, and wave, then headed back towards my tent with Yoru to grab my bag.
As soon as me and Yoru grabbed our luggage, we imediately headed off towards the next town.
CHAPTER 15
Going by Rioshi's directions, we still had a four to five hour fly ahead of us. But this seemed like a good time, besides the fact that Yoru and I still hadnt gotten much rest. It was dark, around 1am, so we most likely wouldnt be seen. Clouds partially covered the late night sky. The moon and the dim lit star's slightly shone on to us, lighting our way, not that we really needed it.
I glanced over at focused Yoru from the corner of my green eye. He was looking directly infront of him as in a deep daze. He said nothing as I stared at him silently, just continued looking forward into the night. The silence seemed very awkward to me. I didnt like it. We hadnt spoken one word since leaveing, and I couldnt help but wonder what he was thinking
Wait.
Yoru had said that I could learn any spell, and that I do hold a lot of power. I wondered If I would be able to focus enough to break into his mind.
I smiled, and closed my eyes partially, just enough to where I could still see where I was going. I completly blocked out anything that would possibly distract me, and began to focus on Yoru and his mysterious unspoken thoughts.
It had worked, and easily to my surprise. He hadnt barely had any barrier around his mind at all.
I wonder If she has any idea how much I like her. Although, why would she ever consider it? I did try to kill her after all; plus, she loves that other guy.
My heart seemed to make an abrupt stop for a moment. My eyes opened widely, and it took all I could possibly do not to stare at him and blurt out something stupid. I could not let him know that I knew about this. I blocked my thoughts out just in time to get back into Yoru's mind without breaking out of it on accident.
But her blood..it smelled so good, and... I want, no, horribly want her power.
My heart felt as if It may had stopped for a moment again, and I could begin to feel a little anger arise in my heart.
She would never love me as long as she has her love for Tsukai, I would never have a chance anyways. But..Im not sure If I could get myself to hurt her again. I have to admit that she is beautiful beyond any other immortal I have ever seen, strong, smart-most the time. Shes clumsy too...
I think I glared forward into the night at that statement.
But her power is just so...unbelievable. The things that I could do. I could run this world.
He smiled.
This is quite a big decision to make...I think I may fail if I faced her now. I like her. But...that power..
I closed my eyes tightly, breaking from his confuseing mind.
So, my enemy had a crush on me now.
Great, just great.
But, he was right. I didnt like him at all that way. He could not be trusted, and was still somewhat an enemy, but maybe a friend at the same time. It was a love-hate relationship between us. But no, never would I fall for him. I loved Tsukai, and deeply. It was killing me to be separated like this from him, Knowing that I would never see him again; unless I figured out a way to reserect him. But yea, Yoru still had some thoughts about killing me. I would not completly trust him. I also still somewhat regreted taking him with me. But I did need help with this mission, and he would be the one to help me. He understands the hardships of being different, and loseing ones that were close to him. I doubted that I would find another like that, that was willing to help me. So, what did I have to lose-
nothing.
I stared straight now too, dazed, and lost in my thoughts.
It was tempting to tell Yoru would I had just heard from his thoughts. I was very curious on how he would end up reacting to that. But, I wouldnt. Not now. I couldnt afford argueing with him. I had a very important and urgent task to complete.
Two and a half more hours of complete slilence quickly passed by. We had been flying for around three and a half hours now. My face felt cold, almost frozen solid from the crisp autumn like wind. I felt about numb, but there was no time at all for stopping. We couldnt risk it. Besides, there was only an hour and a half to two hours left of flying.
Eh. I grimaced. That sounded longer than it should have.
Flying was always something that became easy and simple for a vampire. It was very easy in the summer, the wind had never bothered us. It was warm. But the fall, winter, and other early months were horribly cold for flying. We already were cold ourselfs, to touch our skin felt like touching ice. We were dead in a way. But we lived another life, seperate from the humans. It was an immortal life. We were still liveing, we still had a heartbeat-even if you had become turned into a vampire from it biteing you. But we lived...differently. We held powers and immortality that humans obviously dont have. So, we were more like humans, but with imortality, and advanced powers, and sences.
It is interesting though. I had heard many stories about being turned into a vampire, instead of only being born. When we bite a human, that venom we give off goes through their blood stream in just minutes. It kills them in a way. It gives them a completely new life. Supposely, their heart actually stops for a moment. They do die, and are reborn into an advanced beign. But, I have heard that those minutes of changeing are horribly painful and long. That made me thankful that I had been born as a vampire, but at the same time I deeply regreted it-not that I had a choice. But it would have been much more easy if I had just turned into one, instead of becomeing a half breed, and special beign like this. But, oh well. I guess all there is to do is take what life gives you and go with it.
I continued looking far ahead as I thought about whatever came to my mind. The night seemed dull, and peaceful at the same time. The moon, and most the stars had been blocked from the hovering cloouds-which at least kept us from being seen.
Suddenly, something came to my mind . It had been a full moon since the last time I had turned into my werewolf form, but I never went back to it. I had stayed in my vampire form, unless I got that weird surge of power.
I wonder why?
That system had seemed to become messed up sence the last time, would that be a malfunction with my powers? Or could that be normal?
"Hey Rin, we should be in the town any moment. I think I see some lights up ahead." Yoru stated flatly.
I looked over at him. "Alright."
"By the way, did Miazaki happen to tell you where the vamps are at?"
I about laughed. Why hadnt I thought of that earlier? "Ughh..nope, she never did. We can probably sence them though." I gave him a crooked smile.
"Hmmm..thats not really a good thing. There will be so many human sents, it might be difficult to find a few vamps."
I frowned. "I guess we will just have to do our best." I ended the conversation with a slight smile, then looked back ahead.
I could see bright lights of a town in the distance now.
We would soon be there in a matter of seconds.
