Hunter Kisses Cooper {COOPER'S POV} by Extrique Written by Extrique/Rapidarketidings, a little yaoi scene. =] :::COOPER'S POV::: “Aaand…sixes.” Abram throws the cards toward the center and hunches back over his hand. With a loud sigh, Cooper drops his feet back off the table and waits for Abram to decide on his move. He glances toward the hallway. Isn’t there anything else he’s supposed to do today? It seems to be just a lazy morning for everyone in the Tomb of Thieves. Sades hasn’t emerged from his room; Hunter hasn’t even made an appearance—even Red is taking a nap for once. Cooper has to yawn several times and tap his foot to shake the table before Abram is woken from his reverie. “Huh? Oh. Right.” He slides two cards onto his pile. Obviously a jack and nine, but Cooper decides to let it go for the moment and place a pair onto his own pile. “Your turn, go on—” he waves a hand at Abram, noting the change of shadows from his right. Cooper turns to see Hunter—that kid was an apparition. He hadn’t even noticed him standing there, smirking. “Hey kid, d’ya need me for som—” Cooper’s sentence is cut off and his cards flutter to the floor as Hunter’s lips meet his own. Cooper somehow can’t regain control of his mind—only focus on the warmth of Hunter’s lips moving against his, the pressure of a hand balancing against his leg, Hunter’s hand pressed into his hair. Somehow the sensation is accompanied by the arid scent of ash and tang of soap and some sort of vegetation. After seemingly an eternity, Cooper regains his senses enough to grasp the front of Hunter’s vest, pull the kid closer, and start to retaliate—but the smirk returns, defiant against his lips, and cooper opens his eyes just in time to see the flash of fanged earrings as Hunter pulls away. The room resounds in silence. Cooper stares after him for a moment before Abram reaches across the table to slap the table. “What in the blazes was that?!” “Huh?” Cooper runs a hand through his hair, thinking up some excuse. “Oh. Um…It was…I bet him, that he’d never kiss a guy…and…well.” Abram whistles. “Must’ve been some amount of—” “Just shut up and pass me your cards. I’ve gotta re-deal…” We’re talking about when we met and you say it was easier to fall for me thinking (I'll remember this pause) it was likely I’d be dead by now. 	ASKLAHFAJSHDKLAJDFLKJ gonk OF COURSE. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN. gonk ONLY YOU WOULD DO SUCH A THING TO ME. gonk this is so embarrassing to read.... Save it to your computer or something, if there is a next time... stare If/when it ever turns into an actual thing I dont want it known I ever wrote... coonter? There's really no good way to term it. Its just one of those pairings, i suppose. But basically it would mean nobody would ever want to support hunterana. Which is like totally canon so of course I would like people to potentially support it but if it goes out I wrote that everyone would go, oh it has been said and so it shall be, nobody else can ever be with him~ and ana would turn over in her slowly rotting grave and re-die. I read what you told thief btw and I never said it was canon!? The only canon (so far) is hunterana, hikarixlee, and (because I say so, not because of any actual evidence) alicexentertainer. As for hunterxcooper, I said it could happen but point of fact is it never acctually does or will within the pages of the story. Now, outside of what I've written, I will hold that it could happen, and of course won't try to kill off any pairing people want to chuck at me. Except for dogexsomeone, because that's just... the mental images make me want to burn my face off. ...whatever happened to the hunterana thing from forever ago? also did you pm me? someone did and I cant get to it...?

	It's not the fact that I, the person, wrote it as much as it is that I, the author, wrote it. It proves an issue when authors begin to write fanfiction because a) it's obviously much more in-character and so forth than anything a fan will put out and b) it creates an instant bias. Take Harry Potter. Yes, Rowling did put in a lot of canon pairings. But imagine if she'd written, say, HarryxHermione fanfiction? Can you imagine how badly that would pit the fanbase against each other? Because now, not only would you have the canon ron-hermione, you'd have fans saying harry-hermione is JUST AS CANON, because the author wrote it! Even (still using Harry Potter as a fake example) if she wrote canon ron-hermione fanfiction that would put such a huge constraint on the imagination of fans, they'd say it could only be written in the way she wrote it, all other ways of seeing this pairing are wrong. It's a bad thing to write fanfiction of your characters when you're an author **still somehow holding desperately to the vanishing hope of someday finishing/publishing the story
