My Screwed Up Little Mind
Because I'm better than you are!.......Not
PW Chap 8
As I stand here, forcing to drown within my own sins, I can’t help but hold regret. I am an ugly person now, someone who cannot be trusted. In my arms is the body of a young man, someone who never even got the time to properly grow up because of all that he had to do. Still holding his body I turn to the empty figure beside me. “Please…I’m begging you. Send this message; send it back to the time before this…back to the time where this place wasn’t hell…” I cried. I typed the message as fast as my fingers would allow and thankfully a voice replied to me. “Sent.” I cried in joy then collapsed, still embracing the innocent corpse.

“Eden, are you okay?” Cicerio asked, gently shaking her figure. “Y-Yes…I-I-I think so…” “What happened?” Shay-ron asked. “I…uh…well…Duo just startled me a little that’s all.” “Ah! I’m sorry Miss Eden, forgive me!” the computer bowed. ‘He doesn’t remember…that’s…good…’ she thought with a fake smile on her face. “Message received! Message received!” Duo suddenly said. “Message? What? Who could send us one? Yadra doesn’t know how to work Suo right?” questioned Eemil. “You would be correct; Duo to where does this message originate?” asked Helio. “Sender, Eden location...from the future.” The group looked at one another for awhile before Seif stepped in to inspect his Radiant. “Duo, are you sure this isn’t an error?” “No Master, this message does originate from the future, would you like me to read it?” “Yes please.”

This is a message from the future, no a warning to my companions. I beg of you, please…stop Yadra. In the time where I live, the world is destroyed. Love and innocence have become a thing of the past because in this world, nothing is safe. The key to defeating Yadra lies within Duo. Please, Seif…no anyone. If you can hear me, please, please…open up the forgotten and buried program from within. Deep inside Duo’s memory and heart lives an ancient program that has the ability to bend space and time itself to his user. Suo, Yadra’s Radiant; also possesses this ability but not on a wider range. Please, you must find that program! You must stop…the…

Duo suddenly stopped talking. “Duo? Duo? Are you alright? Duo?” “Message currently unable to be read, must be deleted…” he replied weakly. “That message…it must’ve been difficult to read because it’s from the future, it may be carrying all sorts of encryptions, I’m amazed he was able to read so much.” said Helio. “A hidden God program? In this tiny body, you have to be kidding me…” Cicerio commented. “So, can we really trust that message? I mean what if it’s like some sort of glitch or something?” asked Prisca. “N-No. I don’t think this message was lying Prisca, I think that…it’s really…real.” answered Eden, thinking about how she’d entered Duo’s subconscious. ‘I felt some sort of immense power when I was in that place…I think that I may have well been inside of that God-program…’ she thought. “That’s all well in good but this nation essentially has no leader, would this take precedence over Duo’s problem?” At the moment, poor Helio was stuck being leader because of his former role as being teacher to the royal family. “Helio is right, where could the rest of the family be then?” asked Shay. “Let’s see…first there are the young twins then there’s the eldest brother; Escott. I know His Highness wouldn’t travel with his brothers out of fear of them all being caught so…they’d be in different locations.” “So we split up then, have one group search for Escott and the other for those little kids.” “Big brother should stay here and focus on Duo. The faster Seif-nii figures out that program, the faster we save our future right?” Eemil was right, it would certainly be in the group’s best interest to split but it would also be equally as important to solve multiple issues at the same time. “Alright I’ll stay here with Duo, Eemil can go with Helio to find Escott, while Pris and Shay can focus on the kids. Cicerio and Eden can-” “I would like to…negotiate with Yadra to keep her as busy as possible. That way she doesn’t interfere with what you guys are doing. Would that be alright?” the elf-prince suggested, but even if they would forbid him, he’d probably go anyways. “I’d like to accompany Cice, that way we could maybe get Suo away from her…” Eden said shyly. Seif nodded, “Yea, that’ll be fine. Just make sure everyone is careful, I don’t want to have to lose any one of you guys…kay?” “Yes, of course. “ With that, one by one the group separated and went their different roads. It’d only taken them a little while to pack up their things and leave but before he knew it; Seif was alone in the big castle with only Duo to keep him company. “So then...how do we get into that head of yours eh?” Seif asked.

Cicerio and Eden obviously didn’t have to go too far, but obviously having to return to the place they wanted to escape didn’t make it any easier. “Your Highness, do you really think that it’s...well...safe for you to be returning to this place? I mean for heaven’s sake...they chased us out of our own forest.” One of Cicerio’s guards commented, urging his horse to move faster. “To be honest, I can’t even stand the damn site of that woman but at this point...we don’t have much of a choice. We need her to stay out of our business for as long as possible.” The guard laughed, “The young Master has always been brash and rude but to see you so...involved in this; it makes this old man happy.” Cice narrowed his eyes, “Are you implying that I may be a child?” “Ohohoho, perhaps young Master, perhaps.” The rest of the ride was a bit more unsettling, seeing just what Yadra had done to the poor country made Eden ill. Houses had been charred and destroyed to the point where normal people were just sleeping on the streets. Soldiers were patrolling everywhere and everything, beating civilians for no apparent reason; it was truly a frightening sight. A small hand caressed Eden’s, “Don’t let it get to you. I swear that we’ll end this...somehow.” It took only a few minutes to get to the front of the castle, where of course they had to be searched. “Well, well, well...look what we have here; little runaways returning all the way back to the place the worked so hard to escape from. Plus didn’t you like just insult me to get the hell out? Hmph, I should kick you out right now.” The blonde said with a pout. “We’ve come to...ah...t-talk. That’s all.” Eden said nervously. “Fine, alright then. We’ll go to the meeting room, let’s go.” She said in a bored tone. She sat down, while a certain robot poured everyone tea. “So then...what are you really here for? Come to surrender? Beg for forgiveness? Plead on behalf of that stupid little mound of dirt the teacher is minding? Declare war? Or would you want me to spare your little home with the twigs and fairies?” Cice bit his lip and sighed, “Yadra please...what do you hope to accomplish by doing this? I’ve known you for the longest time now and for the life of me; I can’t figure out what you would honestly get out of capturing an entire continent?” “Hmph, poor, poor Cice...” The princess stood up and stroked Suo’s cheek. “Always so cute. Always absolutely hating it when things were out of your control...but then again your mother was even like that eh? She took advantage of my family for almost 500 years...well; at least until that horrid accident happened. But in all seriousness Cicerio, you honestly know absolutely NOTHING about me if you can’t even figure out what my goal is. Truly, you are a grade A fool.” She said, a wicked looking smirk on her face. The elf-prince was far too shocked to even say a single word, so instead it would be Eden. “Yadra! How dare you! He asks you a simple question and you...you insult him?! He’s not a child!” “But Eden, he is. And he always has been one for almost 100 years now.” Eden gritted her teeth, holding herself back from punching her square in the face. “Well then, since you two went all the way out here to see little ol’ me~ I figure I might as well give you a place to stay hm? There’s plenty of room at the castle but I guess you can do what you want for now, tata.” She sang. With that the two were left alone. “What’re we gonna do?” asked Eden. “Simple, we just play her game...that’s all we can do.” “Play her game? I don’t get it...” Eden said with a pout. The elf sighed then took out a slip of paper, “This is a little party that is going to be thrown at the castle tonight, everyone who that b***h wants to wage war with will be there.” Eden’s ears fell, “I...don’t get it...” “She obviously doesn’t give a crap about us and what we say so...we have to play her game; attention. We need to be the most watched duo in that place.” “But...how do we do that?” “With a little help from my guards~” he said with a sly tone.

The two had stayed separate from each other but agreed to remove themselves from their selected rooms at 7pm; when the party was starting. Eden eyed herself in the mirror, her mouth almost dropping to the floor. “Well I have to say Miss Eden, you certainly do clean up nice~” one of Cicerio’s female aides complemented. Her long hair was tied back ever so neatly with a ribbon while her longer strands up front had been accessorized with clips. She was wearing a light pink and white dress that ever so gently showed a cuter side to her. “Right then, let’s go meet His Highness hm?” asked the woman. The two left the room to see a beautiful looking young man with liquid crystal eyes. “Eden, are you ready?” he asked in a familiar voice. “E-Eh?! Cicerio! I-I-I almost couldn’t recognize you…” she said nervously. “I don’t like dressing to fancy to be honest…I may better than those disgusting humans but I’m not going to spit in their faces by wearing shiny clothes
And prancing around looking like a fool.” He said proudly. Eden laughed and held the boy’s hand with her gloved one. They peeked down below at an entire room full of people, including the socialite Princess Yadra. “You ready?” “Yea!” The two descended delicately down the stairs as though they were angels; graceful and untouchable at the same time. The whispers then began of the mysterious pair from above. “So who are those two?” asked one of the officials to Yadra. “That…that is Prince Cicerio of the Forest and his date his…nothing more than a damn commoner!” she spat. Eden was nervous at first, all these strange people staring at her with so many different emotions but being beside Cicerio calmed her, his confidence and experience around the crowd easily showed. Everything had seemed fine at least until Yadra finally decided to confront them, “You two…what are you doing?! You were not invited and you are not welcome! You’re lucky I don’t have the guards kick you out!” Cice bowed, “Your Ladyship please…I have not been to many of these parties in my lifetime, I only wanted to learn more about your species. How about we settle this in the form of…a bet?” he asked, with a sly face. “What sort of bet?” “A dance, you shall go first and I will follow with Eden, is that fair?” Yadra clenched her fists then grabbed Suo to the center of the room. “Fine! Start the music then!” she ordered. The two had matched perfectly but it was plainly obvious that Yadra wanted to be center stage, and unfortunately she was. When the dance was over, she’d gotten all of the crowds approval via whistles and applause, she gave the prince an ugly look. “Beat that~” she mouthed. “Ah…Cicerio I don’t think I can do this…I’ve never danced once in my entire life! P-P-Please don’t make me do this…” With confident sapphire, the boy smiled, “Don’t worry Eden, we can do this~” The two stepped forward and the music began, it was somewhat faster than Yadra’s (probably for obvious reasons) but it seemed difficult to follow. Once Eden had gotten used to the beat, she knew that she had to get better. At one point Cicerio tossed her aside and instinctively she spun until he caught her once more. He’d then thrown her upwards and it almost seemed like she floated downward just for him to finish it by holding her down to the point where her hair had touched the floor. It was obvious who the victors were. The audience had roared in applause for Cice and Eden, making a certain young girl wag her tail in joy. “Well then Yadra, would you mind an audience with me?” “Very well, we’ll discuss it in the morn-” “Oh no, you see I believe that this issue should be brought up here for the public. My fellow brothers and sisters, the very princess you adore and worship has been going behind you back. She has become wretched and seeks to use the powers of the past to conquer each and EVERY one of the lands you live in; that my friends is what I like to call terrorism. She’s already chased my people out of the Forest we’ve watched over since the very beginning of time! But even now as we speak she has sent her army across the land to kill innocents, civilians, even the rarest creature on this planet; the Pegasus!” The audience gasped, one of the governors spoke, “You Highness…i-is this true? Are you killing the Pegasus?” “No…wait you don’t understand! We’d gotten word that they were being aggressive towards the townspeople you know that we were just-” “Nothing but worthless lies! She even uses the money you invest to fund secret investigations about the Island of the Lost and the fable of Radiant technology; who knows how much money she’s wasted!” Cicerio proclaimed. “Enough of this! You…you are all now hostages! Guards, take them all away!” screamed the princess. Within moments all of the party attendants were within dungeons, luckily Eden and Cicerio were paired in one as well. Throughout the night, Eden could hear the desperate pleas of the people while the guards only answered by stabbing them or slicing off apart of their body while the cellmate was forced to watch in agony. The girl shivered and shivered until she felt the warmth of a familiar figure. Cicerio held her and stroked her long pink hair. “Ssssh….It’ll be okay I swear. We’ve bought the others time and that what’s important but I promise I’ll get us out of this before I let that idiot Seif end up being the hero.” Eden lifted up her tearstained face, “R-Really? Can Cice do that?” “For Eden-hime, I’d become a god to keep her safe.” He whispered.

It was at the moment when my heart had stopped beating for a moment, and I felt a strange sensation through my body. It was as though…I had gone through this once before.

Long Chapter is Long, and overdue. I was actually pushed to do this because of being bored for a loooooooooooooooong while today, then after watching To Love-Ru I was inspired(it's like my new fav series so that's probably why~) So....yea.I figure I split the couples up for their individual moments and junk...while slowly beginning to introduce main plot~ Oh yea, who's a genius?

As for who's next hm...maybe Prisca and Shay? I need to pay more attention to them...Even though Poor Shay the chicken always gets pushed away by Seif the chicken...(Blame Harvest Moon)
