You're So Good In Bed, But Still ******** In The Head.

This journal entry corresponds to my previous journal entry, about seeing Pop Evil. I just got back from the show and wow, I'm amazed all over again by these boys. They make me laugh - they make me cry - and they make me scream "Evil" when they say "Pop." I felt so lucky to spend the night with them.
Before each song, Leigh, the vocalist (who can sing like no other sexy man, let me tell you~) would talk about what each song was about. It was really inspirational and really moved me. This band makes me feel like I have power. I thought I'd pass each little story along to whoever reads this.
Stepping Stone When Dave Grahs joined the band (as a guitarist) he brought a song that he wrote to Leigh Kakaty (vocalist). The song included the lyrics, "I don't need you to be my stepping stone. I just want you to come back home. And just breathe and believe it will be alright, but tonight, for tonight, just let it be." Pop Evil was constantly being told that they'd never make it as a rock band, and that they'd never be able to make any money while in the music business. But look at them now. Tomorrow morning their album will be put on shelves nation wide, just because they belived it would work and be alright. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't be what you want to be.
100 In A 55 At one point Pop Evil was falling apart. They got in fights constantly, and they weren't working well as a band together. Infact, they even lost a member of their band. Leigh had an idea to write a song as if Pop Evil was a one-person band. He wrote down what he would say about the band's arguments and disagreements, and showed the rest of the band. Before they knew it, "100 In A 55" was on all sorts of radio stations.
3 Seconds to Freedom When Pop Evil was down in Florida touring, they got into another arguement. Leigh looked down on his watch, and was counting down the days until they went back home. They just wanted to get back home. He counted each day as a day until freedom. Three days until freedom, two, one. It became an idea in his head for a song, and he shared it with the rest of the band.
One More Goodbye Leigh has a friend who served in Iraq for a while. He left his girl and his children behind him to serve for the land of free, the home of the brave. He wrote all kinds of letters to his girlfriend to keep in touch, and this girl was his only motive to move forward. When he came back to America, he found out that his girlfriend moved on without him. Everything that he had been waiting for was torn apart. He wrote one last letter, one last goodbye.
Those were the songs that really stuck out to me, passion-wise, and those were the ones that I can atleast sort of re-tell. Leigh can tell the stories way better than I can, but I hope that you guys get to gist of some of their songs.
When I say "Pop", you say "Evil." Pop~ Evil!Pop~ Evil!Like I said last entry, please go buy Lipstick On The Mirror by Pop Evil! <3 You won't be disappointed - I promise.
(Tyler, if you read this... this night would have been so much better if you were with me. How can I live without somebody like you?)
