So one day, a boy and a girl are in love. Unfortunately, the girl must move because her father got a job on the other side of the country. So the girl tells him one thing to remember her by: “Purple flowers”.
So now they are in 7th grade. School has just started and the teacher tells the students to write about one thing from their summer that they will never forget. The boy writes about the girl, and “purple flowers”. When the teacher reads his paper, she is shocked and tells him to never, ever say, write, or even utter that phrase ever again. Stunned, he doesn’t even ask questions and said “don’t worry ma’am. It won’t happen again”
“Good” says the teacher, and then continues instructing class.
Many years later, he is in 10th grade. Now here the teacher tells the class that they must write a 5 page report on something that they find very important to them. “It can be as deep as a phrase about your family, or as obvious as food. Please let you horizon expand.” So he writes again about, “people flowers”. Enraged, the teacher gives him 2 weeks of detention and then calls his parents. Then his parents give him even more of a mental beating by grounding him for 1 month.
Soon enough, he is in his last year of college, and his professor gives his class a lecture about life and family, and about how precious it all really is. Some how, all the boy’s teachers have this thing about making the students write about important stuff to them. Again, as you would think, he writes about “purple flowers” because of his love for his childhood sweet heart. Once again, the professor gets so mad that he sends him to the principle. Who then suspends him for 5 weeks. The professor also fails him for that semester.
The moral of the story, don’t get run over by a truck.
(this is an old family story)
