Loving a Beast
To my bestest roleplay buddy, Dark. May our characters never be satisfied for their love.
------------------------------------

Even so early in the day, it was dark. The gray clouds blocked out the sun's shine. On the stone streets, busy people walked and laughed. But not for long.

There, a sad soul wandered into the crowds. Only 16, he had witnessed horrible events that he did not diserve to take part in. If you knew this boy, you would know that he is and will always be alone. Wandering around until the sun sets and he must return to his humble apartment room that he can barely afford.
You would know his parents died a long time ago. When he was only 5. His mother caught in a terrifying fire that burnt down the house, then rescued, but injured beyond repair.
She passed away 2 weeks after resting in the hospital. The father, drowned in greif two days after her death. No one knew what happened to him.

As well as the boy's older brother, who was at the time only 10. Perhaps he died in the fire? But who knows? The boy's body was never found.

Yet, this young man was such a kind soul. At first glance, you wouldn't realise the pain deep inside that was bottled up. You would only notice his beautiful clear blue eyes, that were pure and seemed to radiate kindness and warmth. His hair had a golden shine within it's thick burnette color. Not trimmed well, but still quite dashing.
And a sweet smile to go along. He seemed happy. Polite, and fragile.

He walked into a flower store, the petals seemed to contrast dramaticly with the cold autum weather outside. He shivered, rubbing his arms to gain warmth. Unzipping his leather-blue trimmed jacket, and tightening his fingerless black gloves, he called out to an employee. "Hello? Aren't you open yet?"

No reply. He walked to the counter and rang the bell. Someone called from the back as he eyed the colorful plants that seemed to thrive inside such a different atmosphere.
A girl with stunning green eyes and black hair came to the counter and greeted him.
"Hello, Eon. Lovely to see you again. What do you need today?" She smiled sweetly and he turned a little red.
She was cute... He swallowed, trying to act casual. "Y-Yes, I just need some flowers for the grave today. My parents..."
The girl nodded. "Perhaps some daisys or roses?"
He shrugged. "Roses would be nice, thank you." She turned to go to the back and he reached for his wallet.

....
"GAH!" He snapped around, feeling a shock against his spine.
Someone... was watching. He stared out the window, looking at the people.

He saw no one looking back.

Perhaps it was just a cold breeze?
Eon shrugged, picking up the wallet he dropped and tried to forget the cold feeling.
-----------------------------------------

Though the streets were thriving with noises and sounds, Eon heard just his footsteps as he walked down the sidewalk. Staring at his feet...

One... two. One... two. Tmp... tmp.... tmp.... tmp...
He bumped against someone and nearly dropped his boquet.
"A-AH! I'm sorry sir... I-"
The man cursed at him, shoving Eon aside agressively and walked off.
Eon felt a little numb and awkward. "I..." He pulled himself together and let out a shaky breath.
A cold cloud puffed from his mouth.

He felt it again. Eon's eyes glanced at the street, where children were playing. "... No..." Something was wrong. "No..." He walked to the children. "No! Get out of the street!" His pace grew faster.
Suddenly, one children went down with a scream. Eon froze as the blood sprayed across the street. "NO! NO!" Then another child.

He became frozen as people started to scream... Panic, yell, run, anything to get away.
Away from a monster. He couldn't breathe, he clenched his jacket, as if trying to grab his heart to stop the pounding. His hands shook violently... He wanted to move, he wanted to run.

He saw the beast. Only for a second, but a horrible feeling of death washed over him. A scream louder than the others alerted another death.
Eon started to cry. Instinctively, his feet began to work and then he found himself running. Running to somewhere. Somewhere away from here. Somewhere not there.
Someone bumped into him and he dropped a book.
If you went back to pick up this book, you would see that it was a book of poems he was to give to his mother at the grave. But poems were the least of the boy's thoughts.

Eon looked behind him and saw the monster. He gasped.
It was following him. Tears started to form and he choked, trying to run faster.

He turned at a corner, and ran into a dark alley. He slowed, panting and crying. "No... Oh no! No, this can't happen. Oh god... Oh god!"
A wall was there, towering over him as if to say, 'you lose.'
He pounded against the brick and yelled louder, trying to wake himself from this nightmare.
And then there it was... The beast, grinning with her fangs beared.

He dropped the roses, red as blood.
"I.... I..."
Her claws were dyed with red. That deep horrible red that Eon hated so. "Please. Please..." His hands shook violently and he started to break down.
He would die here, in an alley, alone. Or at the least, with this monster.

She jumped at him, he screamed, shutting his eyes, bracing himself against the wall.
... There was no pain yet.

Overcome with fear, he managed to open his eyes, but gasped. Against him, the thing gazed at him. Amazed. He choked, unable to breathe.

The monster did not breathe either. Eon stared back, realizing that this monster... was stunning. He had never seen something more vibrant before. But he still couldn't move.

It-Or she-was so close to him. If he leaned just a little forward, he could kiss her. Or, if she moved closer, she could bite him. Her cold hand went to his neck, and his heart raced. His musles tightened.
A scream waited at the back of his throat, or some kind of noise that he wanted to utter. Help? Don't hurt me? Nothing came.

Reality came back, and yelling of people behind him could be herd. He glanced behind her, seeing people at the end of the alley, pointing and yelling to others.
Suddenly, he gagged as the woman grabbed under him and jumped over the wall with a supernatural leap. He coughed as she ran faster.
And faster... Faster. Trees and pines zoomed past him and he started to panic again.

She's going to kill me! She's going to eat me! Oh god! Oh no... Not like this!! I don't deserve this!
His eyes watered as wind snapped at his face. Things blurred and he couldn't see. "No! No!" He cried and stuggled in her arms, but she was so strong and her grip was tight. He wasn't going to be able to escape.
