What's the point in living if you can't chase your dreams. Maybe it was to be a national racer, or an olympic participant. Maybe a veternarian or a doctor. Maybe you wanted to see all the beauty in the world. Before maybe that could be easy. Intern and eventually you learnt enough to work on your own. Today we have all these rules. Finish highschool with highmarks, get scholarships. Spend 4-8+ years in college/university just to get a degree so you can legally teach children or so you can practice medicine. For artists you need some fancy degree and once becoming one it would be hard to make money off of it...really. So I opted with my parents to become a nurse, like my mother, but it was mainly to shut them up rather than anything else. Good they could just plan the rest of my life while they're at it.
Now though I want to chase art. It's my passion and I tend to feel alive when drawing or painting something or another. I love the feeling after I complete a project and truth it's the only thing that has kept me sane. The problem is if I chase my dream will there be a light at the end of the tunnel and how on earth would I tell my parents?
