In the darkness I'll wait for her to wake.
In the quiet of this home I see everything.
Alarms blare into her ears as she struggles to life.
Her sad face just makes me bleed.
She closes her eyes in pain as she passes by me.
When she returns I see the pain in her eyes.
The tiredness never left her.
She demotes herself every morning.
Crying the tears that never fall.

As I tell her "You look beautiful."
All she hears are her thoughts.
The thoughts that always haunt her.
Making her strive to be the best.

She threatens herself as she thinks this.
Telling herself to be happy or die.
I admire her strength and stamina.
When she puts that smile on her face.

But I always see,
The tears that never fall.
