A few days pass and things seem to calm down a bit. For Alura at least, she was left in her simple robes but at least it seemed on a normal bases Asth would allow her out of her room to eat. Sometimes she got lucky and was able to eat unmolested. For the most part his appetite for her seemed to have calmed down a bit. After all in his mind there was no need to rush things. Still Alura had to think of something, anything, to try and somehow let her father know what was going on here. Her kingdom Rosewell laid in the far north, a vast land with wide mountains and cold winters. She missed the place deeply and was starting to wonder if she would ever see it again.
Still there was one problem, the very few times she had been out of her room, she was never alone. She had no time to look for paper, let alone a pen. Even then if she could write a letter, how would she ever get it out? She could try one of the maids that often came into her room to make the bed. However she knew well these girls wouldn't dare cross the king, to many of them broken by the rough treatment they've gotten over the years. Later that night she was surprised when a maid dropped off a rather lovely gown. It was the first dress she had seen since her wedding and slips it on. She had nothing under it, but she didn't care, it was normal clothes for once. She jumps when her door opens and Asth strides in. "You got my gift, good, we have a guest tonight, so best behavior." Asth just smiles as he sits her down and soon takes his own chair next to her. "My dear, meet King Lance, his kingdom is only three miles from here, he comes often to speak of our trades."
