I just don't see why the priests made such a big deal about their gate. They insisted it was sacred and warded but they didn't even have a lock on it. Here I had assumed I would to climb over or ask for a key. Instead I just unwound the prayer beads wrapped around the bars. Although I hope I don't get into too much trouble for leaving the gate open.
When I tugged on the beaded thread, it fell apart in my hands and spilled out all over the ground. Beads went everywhere. I tried to collect them all but even if I did find them, I wouldn't even know what order to put them back into. I guess I'll have to deal with the wrath of the priests later though, I have more pressing matters to tend to and little time to do it.
The sun is slowly peeking in the distance and I don't want to be caught so early into my journey. Into the forest I go. Let us hope this journey ends up fruitful.
