It took me a lot of time, research and resources but finally, everything has paid off. All the rumours and whispers that I've heard from Marblevick are true. Or at least most of them are. I'm still not sure if there's such things as Goblins but the main point is the tale of the Fawkes rings true and I may have found where it resides.
There's a gated fence that leads into a large forest just north of the village. The priests claim they've blessed the steel and that nothing can pass through through it. I'm not sure I believe that a pair of beads is capable of keeping a deity from going where it wants to but I'm not going to tear a hole in their beliefs. They seem quite happy, oblivious but happy none the less.
Its exciting to know that what I sought has been so close the whole time. My fingers are trembling at the thought of how close my journey is to its end. Six years of research is finally come to fruition. Now all I need is to figure out a way to pass by the gate without upsetting the villagers. It shouldn't be too difficult but just in case, I'll be sure to move at nighttime when everyone is asleep.
