I've noticed that there have been some people donating some really good items to Dumpster Dive lately. To these people, I thank you, as I am a frequent diver. Let's face it, I'm broke as a joke.

This also has led me to realize that I feel like a douche whenever I donate to the good old Dumpster Dive as usually the items I donate are ones that I can't be bothered to sell on the Marketplace; meaning the item sells for under 100 or so gold and can't be sold back in the first place. I just donate these items and save myself the trouble.

Then I get these awesome items when I dive (mostly donated anonymously) and I feel a bit sad for the people that get my items. To those people, I am very sorry!

I'm poor as far as the Gaia standards are now. I'm used to the good old days back in 2003-2004 when 1,000 gold was quite a pretty sum, and if you approached the 100k range, you were considered rich. Now I see they give away BILLIONS of gold. As in 1,000,000,000! I never thought I'd see the day that I would become a millionaire on Gaia, let alone a billionaire.

I just reached 200 million by catching and selling a demonfly in towns and that's considered a pittance now. That has been, by far, the most gold I have ever obtained on Gaia in my entire 10 years, and it's pretty much meaningless. emotion_puke
