My mom booked us a couple night stay at a cabin in Gatlinburg, Tennessee for Spring Break this year. It's a cool town full of shops and fun tourist attractions.

So my parents and all their infinite smarts decided to leave for Tennessee at 5pm...It takes 10 hours to get there from out house which means we'd have to stay in a hotel overnight instead of leaving at 5am and getting to the cabin by 3pm (which is check-in time). Well we eneded up not leaving until around 7:20 because we were following her coworker.

The drive to the hotel was a nightmare. My parents bitched like half the time. My dad was complaining every time we went over a bump or dip in the road--the back was heavy from all the stuff in the truck so it almost bottomed out a few times. My mom and dad fought back and forth because my dad takes everything personally and my mom has to be in charge and in control of everything.

The hotel was nice. We stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. We got there at around 3:30, 4am.... The bed was comfy and the breakfast was yummy. They had this machine that, in a sense, printed out pancakes lol.

We left around 11am and got to the cabin check-in place around 2:40pm. Then we got to head up to the cabin. We parked the car, after driving up the incredibly winding road, and headed up the steps to enter the code to get in the house. My sister opened up the hot tub and saw a dead rat in the little bit of water. Then she noticed a dad cat on the ground on the other side of the railing. So gross! Well we called up the company and it turns out we were in the wrong cabin! Phew!

So we went to the correct cabin, nextdoor, and got in easily. We didn't think that one was ours since someone was parked there (turns out it was the Inspection lady making sure everything was ready for us). They didn't have the house number on the wrong cabin, and the number on the correct cabin was hidden.... My sis opened this hot tub and it was filled with nice, hot clean water.

So we got in, took a tour of the cabin and unpacked our stuff. Then we ordered some pizza since we were hungry!!! Om nom nom! After that my parents went out to get groceries so my sis and i decided to hop in the hot tub. Well it was too cold! The damn buttons weren't working properly! >.< So we got out and went in the jacuzzi upstairs. Lol.

When my parents got home we got out, unloaded the groceries, each showered, then hung out in the living room. My dad got the fire going so we roasted marshmallows. biggrin After that we hung out in our room while my parents went to theirs. We watched Coraline until we fell asleep.
