“Whats the meaning of this!” Richard cried out to the pokemon.
“We needed to get to know you better Partner, it was all my idea so don't have a cow besides Daisy and Lich here didn't know what they were in yet..” Clint replied in a cold tone, “Daisy already seen Bella slip away so you didn't need to hide it...”
“..I'm sorry..” Richard looked down in shame, he was right.
“now thats okay partner...” Clint reassured him as he walked over “everyone has their skeletons in their closet. “ He laid his head leaf on Richard's shoulder. Richard looked up at Clint. He evolved! Clint was now a Bayleef.
“I..Think we're ready for the gym guys..” Richard nodded.. he was inspired now and nothing could stop them! “If you guys are up to it we'll challenge him now!”
“Yeah lets do it!” Daisy nodded in excitement.
“Sure..” Lich nodded smiling.
“of course!” Hannah agreed with passion.
“Anytime Partner” Clint responded kindly. They descended the tower and stopped by the pokemon center. While they were there Richard decided he would read the letter that Jay and Dawn had written him. He removed the scarf carefully and unfolded it, removing the letter and wrapped the scarf around his neck, it was very comfortable. He began to read,
“Dear Richard..
We heard what happened and we couldn't believe it! But.. oh thats discouraging isn't it.. crap WELL fine I'm writing the letter now! If your not over here in a year your fine will be One Million PokeDollars! So Take care of yourself man and hurry up! After all you don't want me to stop Galactic by myself do ya? Well I'm already beating you to it so it doesn't matter! Haha oh Dawn wants to write something I guess We'll send us a letter soon man!
Hey Richard, its Dawn I hope the scarf I made fit you I had to guesstimate the right size.. well even if it doesn't I'm sure you'd find a use for it. Have you made any new friends out in Johto? I've always wanted to visit but its so far away... Well I don't have much to say now other then don't worry about us and You'll do great no matter what okay?! Well bye!

Richard wiped his eyes and smiled, they hadn't forgotten him at least..and since he had some time before the gym fight he decided to write back to his mother, and write jay and dawn separate letters as well. After he finished writing them he decided to get a good nights rest before the fight.. and instantly fell asleep....
There was a new gravestone this time, Bella's.. Who was there waiting for him. She simply flew over and gave him a hug, and as she did his other Pokemon appeared and were actually smiling..and didn't seem to be in pain like he felt the last few times he visited wherever this place was.. “I'm sorry Bella.. That Rattata had to be in the Top Percentile or something... I'm not trying to make an excuse but.. yeah...” he smiled at her gently and rubbed behind her ears.. There will be a time where I will be here to live myself...and I'll get to know all of you better...Its kind of grim but I think when I die I will come here..to be with you guys for all of eternity..” he nodded at this and actually smiled. When he heard a familiar voice calling to him..
“ahh I see you have returned... Your first challenge of this area is coming up... He is Falkner, a Flying type gym leader... You should have no problems with him as long as your careful... and not to rush you but time is growing thin.. yours and your friends.. I can't explain everything now as usual and you will probably figure it out before I tell you.. but the answer to that guess will have to wait.. Your team needs you don't they?” The Mysterious voice rung out throughout the entirety of Richard mind... Why did it sound so familiar? He couldn't think about this though he had to help his friends through this challenge.. he needed their help as well, it is time...to show them they can do it!
