Esau Profile NEW
User Name: Chibi-Speck

Full Name: Esau Pelumwuy

Age: 19

Grade: Freshman (College Level)

House: Bhumi

Race: Tjilpa (Aboriginal Cat Spirit)

Sexuality: I prefer women. I don’t think men serve that purpose well, but that’s just me.

What brought you here? I grew up in Sydney, Australia, a relatively normal kid. Well, okay scratch that, I wasn’t normal. I came from Aboriginal family, and because of that I was never considered like the other kids, well, the other white kids. I was always made fun of in school and whenever I went out in public just because of the color of my skin. Racism isn’t really supposed to happen very much anymore, but I guess for me and my family that privilege was never given. Anyway, as I grew up, I started to become more and more aware of weird things around me, I could see things others couldn’t see and my hearing and sight began to improve by the day. I personally thought that’s what puberty did to you, so I was fine with it.

But, just because I was kind of weird didn’t mean I didn’t do things other people did, I liked to surf, play video games, watch tv, and all the other stuff you would expect a pre-teen boy to do. The only real difference was that I would come home from school and find a voodoo altar in my living room that either my parents or grandparents had set up, or a didgeridoo, but the didgeridoo was the tamest thing I’ve come home to. Anyway, one fine spring day, my class was scheduled to go on a field trip for our history class. We were headed to Uluru, as my parents called it, or Ayers Rock, as everybody else called it. Well, of course, I would be the dip that broke off from the group and got lost.

And….since racial stereotypes blind the world today; everyone figured that because I was an Aborigine, I could find my way back because I was “one with the rock”. One, never stereotype, it leads to hatred and oblivious people being even more ditzy and oblivious to culture. Second, there is no way I could be one with a rock that looks like a meatloaf. Plus, it’s bloody hot out there. It’s not fun. Anyway, while I was trying to find my way back, I ran into a mysterious pool. Woohoo, a pool. By this pool was a cat, and it started to follow me until I found my way back to my group; who I immediately yelled at because they almost left me.

The next morning, I was all cat-like. Needless to say, I was wondering why I looked like something out of a twisted manga, so I went to my parents as most children would. Since my mother, grandfather, and grandmother were shamans, I wasn’t surprised when I was told I had Tjilpa tendencies like my father and older brother. On top of that, I knew that if I went to school looking like a cat AND being black, people would throw garbage at me, so I refused to go back to school. I also started having this weird craving for catnip…the next school year I was sent to Aether Academy and a bunch of nicknames and fights over a wombat later, here I am.

What do you like? I like yarn, catnip…No, but seriously, I like to surf and I enjoy artsy things, like drawing, painting, etc. I also have a love for soda. I would be very sad if a soda box would happen to break or be broken. I love to dance (not seriously, just for fun), and I find the ocean a great place to be most, if not all the time.

Not so much... Please, for the love of God, do not ask me to say, “Crikey!” or anything related to Steve Irwin or Crocodile Dundee. Just because I’m an Aussie, doesn’t mean I’m like that. I hate crocodiles….and box jellyfish….and drop bears. I HATE DROP BEARS. Don’t know what that is? LOOK IT UP. Also, don’t bring up my race in an intelligent conversation unless you’re actually interested in learning about any culture. Do not generalize about me or anybody else that I happen to be friends with, I will end you if you do (especially if you use the B or N word)….

Powers: I am basically a witch doctor/shaman. I can bless people, and I can hex on top of that. I go through rituals sometimes that can grant wishes, get revenge on others, and even change certain events. I also have limited transformation abilities and I can transform into a cat. I also have “cat tokens” that are used as “secret cameras” for me. And no, I do not dance around with a stick while wearing a dress after getting high, so don’t even think it.

I greatly enjoyed the minor references to the Kaitlyn creature and I really liked hearing more on the racism that Esau has experienced. It really fleshes him out as a character and gives everyone an idea of where he's really coming from when he talks about his home. Also, Esau and Meatloaf Rock=ULTIMATE PAIRING EVAR! (SOOOOOOOO not.....)

Btw. I love the cat tokens...and the wombat.
He sounds angsty, but I know he has a reason.
And he sounds human, that's the big part. He sounds like the pissed off kid that grew a tail and was like "WHY DO YOU HATE ME, GOD?"
    For that, I adore him.
    Also, Esaue+Meatloaf rock = OTP
    xd
