Chapter 3: The Zoo
The birds were chirping and dawn had begun to break into the house, which Lucy and Kouta had broken into. Since there were no curtains the two were woken up quickly. "Come on Lucy we have to eat and get out of here" The two quickly got dressed into some of the kids they killed outfits. Lucy's outfit was a pink top and a black skirt and Kouta's outfit was a black top and a black pants. "Come on lets see what they have" Kouta said and Lucy nodded. They walked down the stairs towards the kitchen. Lucy looked in the fridge and Kouta looked in the coverts. They found milk and Lucky Charms. They sat it down on the table, grabbed some bowls and sat that down also. They poured the cereal and milk and began eating it with a spoon of course.
"Yummy this is good" Lucy said eating more.
"Yeah it is Lucy" Kouta said also eating more. When they were done they left the food there and headed out.
"Wait!"
"What?"
"I got to comb my hair" Lucy said going to the bathroom and combing her cherry-red hair. "That's better, now time to go with Kouta." Lucy walked to the front door where Kouta was waiting patiently, well not exactly patiently.
"WHAT WAS TAKING YOU SO LONG?" He yelled mad that she was taking to long to comb her hair. They needed to move so the police won't come here and find them.
"WELL, EXCUSE ME FOR BEING A GIRL" She yelled back angry with Kouta for yelling at her. With that they walked out the door into the streets of Kamakura.

Kouta and Lucy are in the streets of Kamakura with Kouta looking around at the scenery. He never got to go outside much, just because he wasn't human. Kouta saw Lucy looking at him weirdly and ask.
"Kouta, what are you doing?" Lucy asked.
"Looking around" Kouta said sounding fascinated by the tall buildings they pass by. Lucy looked at what Kouta was looking at and sighed.
"Seriously Kouta, what kind of person would be satisfied by looking at buildings." She said to Kouta.
"I'm a diclonius and I haven't seen the world from outside of the orphanage. You have before you came here and you're lucky." Kouta smiled at his new friend. Kouta spotted a police officer fixing to walk by, so Kouta grabbed Lucy and covered her mouth when they hid in the alley. She tried to speak but was muffled by Kouta's hand. He let go of Lucy when he saw the police officer go out of site. Lucy gasped for air and said
"What did you do that for?"
"There was a police officer walking by, we can't be seen by them." Kouta said looking at Lucy. Kouta looked around for anymore police officers and said. "The coast is clear we can go now"
"Where are we going to go, Kouta?" Lucy asked.
"How about the Zoo, I always wanted to go there." Kouta smiled
"Alright, lets go" With that Lucy dragged Kouta by his hand and to the bus stop where they paid for the bus fare and went to the Zoo.

Once there they saw the animals at the Zoo. Kouta and Lucy automatically ran to the animal, which was a giraffe and Kouta said "COOL!" They went to the next animal which was an elephant. "WHAT A LONG NECK!" Lucy yelled out. It was their first time going to the Zoo. They also went to see all of the animals in the Zoo. When they finished seeing the animals, Kouta got them both some snow cones, which consist of shaved ice and was strawberry flavored .
"This is good Kouta thank you." Lucy smiled and Kouta blushed
when Lucy said that. Kouta heard some people over in a table say about him.
"What a freak. I can't believe that boy has horns on his head." A lady was saying to another lady.
"Yeah, but I doubt he is the one who caused the murders in that house on bell street." The ladies both nodded, which made Kouta grip his shirt and think.
'Oh no'
'Oh yes' Kouta's dark self said to him.
'Oh not you again'
'Yes it's me again. I'm you, Kouta'
'I know that, dammit'
'Then why don't you kill them?'
'Not right now' Kouta said to his dark self.
'All right then, but I warn you. You will do it sooner or later, Kouta.' When his dark self was gone into the recesses of his mind, Kouta sighed.
"Kouta are you there come back to me, Kouta." Lucy said waving her hand in front of his face.
"Huh?" Kouta said looking at Lucy.
"Good you're back"
"Okay, I'm just a little hot. Let's cool down okay."
Our snow cones are all gone though." Lucy said looking at the cones they had ate. Kouta smiled then said.
"Don't worry I know a little stream nearby where we can splash around in."
"Okay!" With that they headed to the stream.

Kouta splashed Lucy in the face with some water once they were down there. He laughed at her. "Your face was dirty" Lucy pushed Kouta down into the water.
"Now you're all clean" She smirked, but was surprised when he pulled her by the leg and made her fall down.
"THAT'S PAYBACK!" He yelled out.
"YOU STARTED IT!" Lucy yelled while they they got up and started splashing each other until their clothes were all soaking wet.
"Um let's take off our clothes okay" Lucy said to Kouta.
"WHAT?" Kouta shouted out.
"It's not what you think, Kouta. We our wet and our clothes need to dry off. Kouta blushed at his stupidity.
"All right" With that they unclothed and sat back to back on the riverbank. "You know, you're my only friend that is human" Kouta said
"Really, now" Lucy said smiling. "You're my friend also" Lucy faced Kouta and put her head on his shoulder.
"What are you doing?" Kouta said surprised at what Lucy was doing.
"Laying my head on your shoulder." Lucy got her head off of his shoulder and crawled over to face him. Kouta blushed when he saw her naked body and Lucy did the same. "You know something, Kouta?" Lucy asked.
"Yeah, what?" Kouta replied.
"I always liked you." With that Lucy kissed Kouta on the lips, then moved away from her crush. Kouta was shocked to say the least. A beautiful naked girl he liked had just kissed him. Kouta saw the clothed were dry and said.
"Our clothes are dry so let's put them on and get out of here."
"Why?"
"Because I sense another diclonius in the area"
"You can sense other diclonius"
"Yeah" Kouta stood up and put his clothes back on and Lucy did the same.

On the bus they sat side to go back to the town. You see the Zoo was in the mountains and now they had to go back to town. "Now that the police found where we killed those people in the house we are currently living in. We have to find another home and stay there for a while or at least until the police finds us" Lucy nodded at Kouta who whispered that to her.
"Yea let's find us a new home" The bus came to a stop to where their supposed to get off and the two walks hand in hand off of the bus. They still walk hand in hand on the streets towards a house that Kouta found. It was a nice looking house. It was entirely white and had a black roof on it. The building stood two feet tall. Kouta and Lucy saw humans in there who were having fun. 'Not for long though' Kouta thought and his dark self laughed. "Come on, Lucy" Kouta said dragging them into the home.
"Who are you?" A man in the home said.
"Your worst nightmare" Kouta smiled then killed all of the people in the house including the children. "You look tired Lucy let's head to bed. It's nighttime after all."
"Okay" Lucy yawned and the two goes onto the twin bed that the adults shared and slept under the covers with Kouta's arms around Lucy's waist.
