???: She thought curiously to herself, why did he always have to leave at night? Why does he act this way towards her? Shaking her head she made it clear that it's just her imagination, a stupid crush. She got ready for bed and hung her soaked clothes to dry. Flint sighed and looked at her blueprints on more time. Tomorrow will be a good time to work on you... she put in thoughtfully. She laid down and stared at the ceiling dozing off.
"Hey, wake up..." a familiar voice rung in her ears. Flint opened her eyes to see her dark friend standing at the door leaning with his hands in his pockets. "Cole, how did you..." He got up and interrupted her. "You forgot to close the front door, so I decided I'd come in and wake you up." Embarrassed she got up and walked to her closet. "Thanks Cole..." He stared at her warmly though the expression on his face stayed blank. "I washed your clothes for you...just so you know." he put bluntly. She glanced at him and blushed. "Why'd you do that? Are you secretly a pervert?" she asked without thinking. Cole gave her an awkward look then glanced down beginning to laugh. "Oh, sure Flint. I'm a major pervert!" Rolling his eyes he walked out. "I'll let you get dressed." he put plainly as he shut the door behind him. She knew she was being silly calling him a perv, so she humored him a bit. "Don't peak you weirdo." she put in a teasing tune. It was silent, then finally she heard him put in playfully, "But it's hard not to!"
Giggling, she came out dressed and ready to work more on her project. "Ah, so the 'beauty queen' reveals herself to the peasant." Cole stated coolly. She blushed slightly embarrassed. "Oh will you shut up?" she said in a low irritated voice. An evil grin slid across his face but it went away and he nodded. "I'm going to need to advertise..." Flint started. He held out his finger to make her pause and he reached for a stack of papers on her table. When did those get there...? she wondered. He took one off and showed it to her. "Wow, when did you get this done?" Flint asked amazed. He stared at her emotionless. "I told you you over slept, I didn't tell you why. Have you noticed you've been waking up early cause I came?" She though about it and he was right, so she shrugged. "Yeah..." She wondered if now would be the best time to ask him about last night. "Hey Cole...about last night." He interrupted once more, only quickly. "Don't worry about it, it doesn't mean anything. It's just that...You and I are close buds Flint. You're like a little sister to me." She felt a little disappointed. Flint enjoyed that he felt strongly about her, but not very strong. She was about to confess how she felt. "But hey...I know how you feel already." he continued. "So I was thinking...Flint, do you...?" Her heart started racing. Date? Go out? Marriage? Oh whoops, drop that last part... "want to know why I carry this necklace? The real reason?" She felt like she was slapped in the face. "Um...Sure..." she replied trying to hide her feelings.
