Well, I did it. My secret is out.
It started one evening when Zexion and I went up to a secret hilltop to talk in private. We talked as normal, and decided to reveal my secret to him.
"Zexion...?"
"Yeah, Arreis?"
"Nothing, never mind."
"Arreis, what's wrong? And don't say nothing."
" Can I trust you?"
"Of course, Arreis! What's wrong?" I slipped off the sweater I always wore to reveal my corset-styled top. I never took off this sweater, no matter the temperature, because it hid the marking on my chest. "Where, and when did you get the tattoo?" "Zexion, this is not a tattoo. Everyone in my race has a marking like this one." (Now would be a good time to mention I have perfect memory)
"What? Arreis, I.. don't..."
"Zexion..." I started murmuring in the Ancient language, a spell I knew. I felt my body begin to transform, and I saw my body begin to glow. My mind went blank as the process went into full effect. When the tranformation was over, I looked back to Zexion, he was obviously in shock at what i did and what I became.
"Arreis... wow." he gasped as he gazed upon my black wings and changed costume.
" This is who I truly am, Zexion. A flyer."
"But, flyer? Aren't those old fairy tales?"
" We are real, Zexion. Well before the Sky Kingdom was destroyed."
"Sky Kingdom?"
"Yes, my home, and my kingdom. I'm the daughter of the Sky Kingdom's ruler, Zexion. I'm a Princess." I started to cry. "I lost everything, my home, my friends, my parents. Now, I'm on the run from the Hunter, Brigonith. Every time I sense him in a world we are in, I force us to leave ASAP."
"That explains your sudden worrying. But why didn't you tell everyone else sooner?"
"Brigonith has spies everywhere, I don't know if I should've done this." He hugged me tightly.
"Don't worry Arreis. I'll protect you. I promise."
"Zexion?"
"I swear on my life that nothing is going to hurt you." he lifted my face to his. "I.. think, I am in love with you, Arreis." I gasped. Before I could speak, he pressed his lips to mine. I don't know how long we styed like that, but when we separated, I told him I loved him as well. I flew around for a while. I stopped in front of him.
" I trust you with this."
" I promise to do anything to protect your secret, Arreis." i kissed him softly.
A few days later, we were exploring a anbandoned world. We happened upon a cliff with markings on it.
"What is this?" Sora asked.
"Hang on, I know this language." I said, stepping forward. "Gibberish." I affirmed when I finished deciphering." It's meaningless. It says ' The ancient child waits for the tiger' it has no deep meaning." Everyone strared at me as if I sprouted extra limbs. There was a strange rumbling. I turned. "Damius Corpassus!" I screamed at the wall. The wall revealed a entryway into the interior of the mountain. "Well, come on!" The group just stared and gawked at what I did.
"What, in the worlds did you say?!" Riku asked me.
"It means 'Let the Worthy pass' ".
We followed the pathway into a strange sunlit meadow. I froze.
" Uh oh." Zexion ran up to me, asking what was wrong. "He's here. We're trapped. Axel, Corridor us out of here, NOW!" I screamed. A bone-chilling laugh echoed through the cave. "NOW!"
"Too late, Princess." his voice hissed. Riku and Sora sprang to protect Kairi, the only known princess in the group.
"Well, if it isn't the Hunter.Haven't I had to deal with you enough for one lifetime?" Zexion understood and drew out his lexicon. Brigonith the Hunter stepped into the clearing. Zexion stood in front of me.
"Princess, princess. I am only following orders." he said as he walked past Sora, Riku, and Kairi.
"From who, dare I ask?" I barked at him from behind Zexion.
"Mistress Malificent, of course. I am on direct orders to capture your heart."
Zexion growled.
"Not on my watch, you're not!" he readied an attack." I promised to protect her!"
"How cute, the Princess has her own little knight. Pathetic. While I would love to destroy you all. I simply have to disspell your disguise and collect your heart." I fired an energy spell from behind Zexion. I wrapped my arms around Zexion's stomach and rested my chin on his shoulder. Brigonith started chanting, so did I. Zexion prepared to attack if he needed. my body began to transform.
"Zexion!" I screamed as my body grew brighter. My mind went blank again. I could hear Zexion, trying to either reverse the spell or cast an illusion over us. I had transformed, everything i had tried to prevent had happened. I flew into the air and started firing energy beams at Brigonith from the air as Zexion attacked from below. The others stood in shock, watching the fight. Brigonith started chanting again. I fell out of the air, Zexion caught me. I stood up and darknes began to pool at my feet. the inky blackness climbed up my body. "Zexion!" I cried out as the dark consumed me. I went numb. I saw the light again. There was a terrible pain in my chest. I watched my heart leave my body.
The rest.. is blank.
