Oh boy.
Better lock the windows, too.
The Passage
"Three days. It's been a whole three days, two hours, and six minutes exactly since we sailed inta this shithole," grunted Error, glaring down at his watch under the warming glow of a gaslight as Lettuce handed him a beer before seating himself on a metal barrel opposite from where Error stood. Surrounding the two was the eternal night of an abyssal cavern in which a fleet of nine warships sailed a motionless black sea. Vapid light from gas lanterns placed on the ships barely broke the screen of darkness, only allowing for a dim view of the fleet's aluminum surface and a brief glimpse of the oily water beneath and ahead. Leaning back on smooth railing fencing the ship's edge, Error inhaled long and luxuriously upon the cigarette in his mouth before blowing the curling gray smoke from his nostrils. The lucid serpents writhed and fought in the dusky light of the lantern above before rising into the night and dissolving into the still, moist air.
Two ships to the right, Pandemon gazed into the dark from the prow of the leading cruiser.
