I am a lost cause, lost in my thoughts,
Lost in your eyes and tied up in knots,

Tried to act smart, I threw you words like a dart,
I told myself I was satisfied, and still had my pride,
That my emotions had dried, but I had lied...
Outside I cried and inside I died,
Because without you, I am lost...
You were my light to show me the way,
You made me feel special day after day,
I want to say I want you to stay...
I am completely enveloped in darkness here...
It's filled with my very own tears and fears...
And I am lost in it.
The only thing that keeps me going is knowing
You found someone blessed enough to light your own path
Who makes you smile and makes you laugh,
And though I am helplessly lost in this painful strife,
You will move on and live a near perfect life.
