Hm... The Second story, Aren't you happy?!
( blaugh Like I said this is my second story, hope everyone is happy...(I threw away the phone idea) And yes this is somehow evolved from a roleplaying idea I had.. Please, if you can, take the time and read it, I would really aprecciate some feedback..)

A hand passes over the doorknob, softly feeling each indent upon it, listening for a figure with in or about. Hearing no one inside and seeing nothing coming towards him, the hand took hold of the doorknob, firmly turning it.

The figure stepped forth into the room, quickly closing the door behind. Coming forth into the window's reflection of light the figure took form.

Reflecting from the light were two identical dark green eyes, mostly covered by some of now, taking form of a man's, dark chestnut brown hair in a lay back fashion which complimented his light tanned face beneath. His apparel was loose but weighed him down, which was horrible in the fact that the weather was growing warmer around where he was. Slowly taking off his upper layer apparel, his shirt, and walked toward a door in the back of the room.

The door sat there, it's russet color shown out from the sun's reflection, the state of it looked as if it was never opened, but to his dismay it opened fine.

Curiously he looked beyond the door, it was not what you usually found on the other side of a door. A large green tree peaked out towards him, it's large leaves littered the scene before him. Being interested he walked forth into the land before him.

Thinking it was a small room of trees or something, but to his dismay above him the sun beamed down upon his back and there was no limit upon how large the room was. He closed the door behind him as he walked forward, not ever wanting to go back to the place he had left, anything was better.

Walking through the endless morass he had his senses slowly in tuned with his surroundings. He had then began to hear a small scent of singing of some sort in the distance, there was life upon this land. Walking toward the voice he grew in anticipitation of what might happen, what if he went to a land of something else like a supernatural force.

Walking delicately he began to decipher the voice was a woman's voice which grew stronger upon some notes and lighter upon others, like a natural born singer. Feeling relived that this figure had a large chance of not being an alien of some sort. When he came close enough he saw the figure was a maiden of some sort. Hair loosely down in a braid that played upon her back down the light tanned dress that hung upon her body. He sat back to make sure there was no chance that she could have any sort of unattractiveness.

The maiden stood beneath clothes that she took down from hangers to fold, her look was young but mature. She turned to take down another piece of a higher stature's clothing. She wiped her hair from her face as she folded the clothes with her other hand, but amidst the glance back up she saw she was being watched.

"What-" She began but hushed when she began to be startled that the figure who watched her to be a slave trader or some sort of spy.

Gathering the clothes from the folding procedure into her hands she hid a small dagger that she held in her hand for safety. Walking toward the figure she had seen in curiosity, "Hello?" She said sternly but not out of her place.

He looked upon her face, gulping in reaction, he had no idea what to say. She definitely wasn't an alien, and was attractive but he told himself to keep the lust down to a small level for they must be different in some way. He looked to her once again, "Sorry, I didn't mean to bother," He looked about once again, a face of fake confusion, "I'm uh lost..."

She raised her eyebrow, loosening the grip upon the ripper, "You are in Caspian, a land of some sort of happiness, north of Eamon." She smiled out of manners, but thoughts cluttered her mind trying to think of where he might have came from. It was out of her place to ask, and if she could how would she?

He nodded still confused, "I'm sorry about that," he muttered trying to erase his steps and not say that he was watching her. Well she didn't have proof did she, but the look upon her face he could tell that she was vividly smarter and more mature than her was. The smile that laid upon her lips briefly told him something different, there was a kind person in her it just had to break free, and as he thought the lust came back, harder to beat.

Sorry, she had never heard another man say that to her, it wasn't done but she liked it, flushing softly she began to gather the clothes back into the bushel. She laid the dagger softly in the midst of the clothing, not hurting it nor the clothes. She looked back to him, trying her best not to be taken away and to look quite stern, "Do you need to go to town?" She inquired to him, not wanting to show a feeling toward him like the other servants who did so just to skip to the higher class, she had pride.

A town?! They had a town?!, he thought in disbelief at first, then in disbelief for thinking that. He thought about it, a town meant work, work meant there might be a way for him to live in this land, Caspian, and for him to live here he wouldn't ever have to return back. He came back to his senses, "If that wouldn't be too much of a trouble," he told her.

She nodded, taking down the last two articles of clothing, there was something quite different with him. A man with not a rude stature with the servants, a man who would suck up to anyone. She then looked to him quickly, was he an outcast? No, she reasoned with herself, how could he be? Walking forward, putting the rest of the clothes into the basket, she looked back to him, "This way," she said softly trying to think of a way to ask him who he was.

He looked up and slowly followed her, his eyes prancing about like a little puppy chasing after a small bug of some kind, curiosity played upon his face. He then looked back upon this woman, who had introduced him to this land and what he did he do? He said I'm sorry about that. He bickered with his head as he tried to think upon a conversation to show his gratitude.

A thought struck him, "Oh, I must apologize, I forgot to introduce myself, name's Kevin," He smiled softly to her as he approached her side as he walked.

He just introduced himself to me? Of all people, me, he really isn't from here or he doesn't know a servant when he sees one. And Kevin, what is Kevin? But he is sweet and different, she thought to herself and smiled in return, "My name is Scarlet," she blushed softly, but came to the break.

The trees parted to a small town surrounding a large castle built up tall and had a lot of class to it. People littered the streets, carts pushed about, but as you looked about the whole town was clean. The ground wasn't a dust like material that would have thought to been there, but no it was dark bricks. The small buildings following the brick path were tall and roomy for many. The whole town gave off a sweet tune, a welcoming one.

She sighed, "Here we are, Caspian." She smiled slightly looking to his perplexed look about his face.

He smiled to her then looked to the city, a look of joy came upon him as he watched people barter, children play, and a random dog lay upon the ground in happiness, "Caspian," he repeated then looked about, "it's perfect.."

She smirked but tried her best not to loose her stature with him, "That's what I thought, but don't get deceived.." She ended with that, not wanting to show him what has made this a horrible place for her, but right now, with him, she felt better.

"I'll try not to be," He smiled to her seeing something was troubling, "Do you know a job amongst Caspian that is ready to hire?"

She nodded, "Over there," she pointed to a small house in the west direction, "is the pub it is open for work. And over there," she pointed in the other direction, "-is a swords' maker who needs help."

He laughed, "So I can make ones drunk or I can try to poke the daily lights out of people, right?"

She giggled softly, "Poking is better," looking about she heard a distinct whistling, cursing softly she bowed to him. "In an hour I'll be back out, if you need any help, I'll be about for you to find."

He nodded, once again confused, "I'll be about.." He looked to the endless people jumping about when they saw a new comer. All running up and crowding him, he was helpless, once more to look up and see Scarlet walk away.

Jotting about when he saw the people approach, mostly holding on to things in their hands of valuables to buy. But one thing caught his eye immensely, it was a large sword crafted by an artist of some sort. Holding the magnificent sword was a small petite man who couldn't even stand next to the sword and state that it was smaller.

"Like it?!" The small man asked, a quirked smile upon his face, the little bead like eyes looking over Kevin, "But it seems that you need a job in this queer clothing you wear.." He walked about Kevin awkwardly as the others departed, "So, well built, strong, and it seems out of money.." He then stood back and stuck out his hand to shake from, "Welcome to Caspian, and I would like you to work for me!" The small man boasted.

Kevin was flabbergasted, he didn't know what to say, it is what he wanted. He took the man's hand and shook it, a smile gleamed upon his face as he was showed his happiness to be wanted. "Sir, yes sir." Stumbling upon his words he looked to the small man.

"Okay then, you start tomorrow, early.. About tenish.." The man grinned, just to see Kevin's confusion, "I'm too old to get up any earlier, and I'm not going to make you start today so get all situated before you begin.." He laughed at Kevin's expression which was still upon his face and patted his shoulder, "Everything's fine."

The old man strode off toward the store as Kevin smiled, he was right he could get work and then never return. The never return part of it was the part he had to make certain. Gazing toward the town center he saw the large clock slowly turn to the upcoming hour, he wanted to tell Scarlet, he wanted to tell her he was staying. It made him happy.

Looking about around her as she ran, blood slowly leaked from the side of her face, she wanted to know what had put her in this position. The girls who freely give themselves to the men of the court don't get treated like this, but their hearts are torn from them like nothing is worth it, she had enough pride that she didn't have to put herself in that situated.

Running forth she spotted Kevin, she didn't want to see him like this, her clothes a mess, blood went down her face, and random sightings of bruises littered her body. She went over to the alley and slowly washed the blood from her face. Then making up her mind she walked up behind Kevin, tapping him upon the shoulder.

He turned to see her, a smile was soon taken over by concern.

(More later, have to think a little, but I like it! blaugh Also, yes I was type happy.. If you have the time, please read it and pm me or leave a comment. Thanks!)
