Frontal Assault
Hard to imagine one of the least tactical forms of war brought us a victory over the demons that were under the dragon's control. The beastie was severely hard to bring down, but one half of the war has been won. The second half, has just begun.
See, wolves and dragons pretty much hold a similar pecking order, difference is, in dragons, you see a much more fierce fight for becoming the Alpha of your group. And not only do you get to fight the leader, but you got to get through the rest of the army to get to him!
So, it's easy to assume we're not in the best of shape... and yes that's true. But, personally, I can't say I've felt better. Winter and I both are stuck with resting for a good three days. Pretty harsh, but there's a lot of silver lining on the cloud.
Think about it, three days, despite injury, with one you love, and nothing is really there to stop much of anything from going on. Not to mention we've now got an army under our command, helping with healing and protection. Think we've struck a pretty dang good deal in this warzone.
I've given Winter's beta a temporary appointment of command. So, things around here are starting to look up. I've been mashed up, as has Winter, so we're keeping things easy right now. Hurts a tad to embrace, but the pain's worth it.
By the end of the three days, it's going to be a mad dash for the end. We need to strike as best we can, but this war... it's taking from us.
Winter narrowly died on me, I had to perform a sacrifice to keep her around. That's why we need to finish this battle, if I can't get out of here within a week and a half, I'm losing a lot more than my Hybrid blood. My life's next in line, and I'm already feeling the effects of counteracting the natural balance between the realms. I still have my pyro abilities, but even those are going to drain from me slowly as the week rolls on.
All I can do, is hope we can finish this.
