LOLCakes! Sorry, I couldn't help but say it as a funny opening statement for this entry. I have just discovered the most funniest anime-related thing on the internet. It's called "Dubs That Time Forgot" and it's an anime panel hosted by Mike Toole from Anime Jump where they show some clips of old English dubs of classic anime of back then that most anime fans never remembered much or even heard of. What makes these old dubs so funny (other than just being old) is that they gave these anime whacky watered-down, yet plausable titles to try to appeal the the western audiences, cut some of the scenes to have it make more sense or not to have so much musical-like songs in it, and the dialogue is just hilariously cheesey (and would probably be a little misunderstood nowadays)! I do have to admit, Urusei Yatsura could never be more (seriously) funny dubbed by the UK! There's two parts of the ANNtv exclusives of it up right now if you're in the mood for laughing your arse off over the English dubbed anime of yesterday.
