I began wondering, would my sister become a problem? I knew that she had her fair set of problems but before we arrived in the dead land I had spoken to Yael privately since he was spending time with my sister left and right. "Talk about some meeting eh?" he said. "Yea..but there was something I didn't tell Ordell..." I confessed. "I had a feeling..I kind of feel sorry for Ordell, even though he's responsible for most of our operations, we never tell him what's really on our minds...I feel like this whole group is wrapped up in their own shadows..it's...sad." "If Ordell knew about this..I think he might just kill Merlow." "What? Why in the hell would he do that?" he asked, actually growling. "Heh...so you do like my sister eh?" "Ah! Fine...I confess...I do have feeling for her, she's an extraordinary young girl. She tries her hardest but..." "But...?" I asked. He was giving this slightly nervous look, he didn't want to acknowledge the so called 'elephant-in-the-room'. "Her heart is fueled by darkness isn't it?" I guessed. "No! More like...she just doesn't know what to do with her feelings, she's struggling with a lot on the inside." he said. "What? What's wrong?" I asked, sitting down. "You haven't noticed? She feels so much remorse with Alistair passing away, she believes that she could have done something to make it easier on you and then...the thing she struggles constantly with....you." "Me?" I asked, pointing at myself. "Yes...I believe a lot of twins have this problem....not only when they lose their own identities but...they fall for one another." "Wait a minute...are you saying that my sister is in love with me?" He nodded,"I believed it originated as sexual tension and she told you when we had to fight against her right?" I nodded,"Yea....but she said she gave up those feelings....she's my sister..." "Yes but in a way..on that day you saved her life that day, what if instead of abandoning those feelings they...turned into..love?" "B-But...But..I...God dammit..." I growled, kicking the ground. "But besides that...she has a horrid inferiority complex, I think it's why she despises Lucille so much even though it's been ages since we saw her last. Merlow is mighty jealous of her. She had the rich life, the beauty, and now she has the power...plenty for her to be jealous about even though she'll deny it. When she was training alone I heard her whisper,"I will be better than her.." again and again...It's no wonder that Fira lady saw her heart was filled with darkness, because it is." said Yael. "But...these feelings...will they...you know...ever go away?" I asked. He looked up at the ceiling,"To be perfectly honest Merlon....I don't think she'll ever be the girl wither of us want. She'll never be innocent, she'll never love the same as you or I, and she'll never care as you or I. She is constantly wearing a mask, but I don't think this one can ever be removed..." I could see the pain in his ruby colored eyes. His ears and tail were drooped down and he had such a defeated look, he obviously cared for my sister a lot. "So...when did it start for you?" I asked. He blushed,"Ah? What do you mean?" "The crush on my sister stupid...how long did that go on?" I asked again. "S-Since I met her...she was the first...interesting human I met...but she would always either talk about wither having no heart....or you. But I listened and even though she never let me in...I still.....I still..." I could see him actually trembling, I wanted so badly to give him a hug but I just watched as he gulped and exhaled,"I love you Merlow...." he whispered, a single tear droplet falling from his eye. "Yael..." He wiped away his tears and gave me a serious look,"Please...what ever you do...don't pity me...me and her are billions of worlds apart and I even though I want her more than anything....that can never happen. On this mission, before we meet Fira again...you have to get rid of that darkness okay? Think of this as a gift for her...okay?" I promised him at his most weakest moment that I would qwell the darkness within my sister's heart even though this would surely result in him only getting lost further in my shadow, but still he begged for my help. But still I kept to my promise even now as Asami's shield broke away. "Merlon?" my sister asked, looking up at me as I held Mooncica up, struggling to keep the death away. Please...if there are still any pure souls in this place...I ask for their help as I cross this land to my destination... Just then the clawing spirit monsters stopped attacking. "You...are...not...here....to....kill?" the creature said. I shook my head,"N-No....we um...just need to find out where a big scary army is...got any ideas?" I asked The creature pointed with it's finger ahead of us,"There are where are bodies are kept...they will know what to do with you..." the creatures whispered. I kept up the shield while Ordell carried Asa. "Thank you..." I heard her whisper. "Don't thank me yet, we still aren't exactly in Kansas anymore...we have to keep our guard up until we get where we need to be." I whispered back. "Why did you attack all of these innocent humans? We only came here to save you...why then would you try and kill them?" Ordell asked. "Because...we were given orders to protect this place, our Masters however did not give specific orders on what to attack." "Yeah well...why would you listen to Merlon-sama's call then?" Shin asked. "Because...any creature that is smart enough to beg for it's own life...in our eyes does not deserve to die." The ghost-beings were quiet until we reached a village. "How where these people able to survive?" Merlow asked. "Evolution...they evolved to the point where they could split apart their souls from their bodies, so in turn the body was not damaged and eventually grew a tolerance, it's actually been quite some time since we last returned to them." "Oh...yipee...." The spirits went into their bodies and an elderly man approached us,"Forgive them...they are not yet aware of the difference between good and evil, I'm sorry so many have come and been slaughtered, what can I help you with?" he asked. "An army...have you seen them roaming your lands?" I asked. "Why?" he said. "Excuse me?" said Ordell. "Why should we tell you?" asked a young girl. Soon the entire populace began agreeing with her,"Yea, why should we tell stupid humans like you anyway? You know nothing of us, and you just left us to rot and die!" they yelled. "Oh you have got to be kidding me...what the hell do you want us to do?" Cali growled. "One of you must emerge from that...bubble." said the elder. "No...we cannot do that, if we do...we'll die." said Yael. "Then show us....show us that you are willing to sacrifice yourself for the good of this...mission." Without even thinking, I walked out. "Merlon!" my sister called, but still I stayed outside and somehow, remained perfectly safe."Hm...you are unlike the rest of your kind young child...you chose death just to get directions? You are foolish..." said the elder. "I'm alive right? Why should it matter what I do now?" "Hm......you are very wise for a little brat, very well...yes, we are aware of the Lady you seek, and she told us about every last one of you. And if it was anyone else besides this boy or that cat...you would've died the moment you came out." the little girl said. "Eh? What do you mean? Why?" Cali asked. "Because...only those two are...pure...everyone else here...they have lost their innocence." said the elder. That's right...we have no secrets to hide or any dark intentions, neither of us would need to or we'd just tell someone about it. "To be honest...we should let Fira kill you so that your damned blood will make our land clean but...we pity you. So we'll allow you to die by Fira's honorable hand." said the elder as he pointed to a huge mountain far away. "That is where Lady Fira has made her home. Out of...fairness once you cross a certain point, you won't need that bubble anymore so, be thankful!" they hissed. It was evident that these poor people had been seduced by what Fira could offer, seeing as none of us wanted to be near them any longer, we decided to high tail it out of there as fast as we could. Once we crossed the point Ordell looked at Asami,"What's going on?" he asked suddenly. "What're you talking about?"she asked. "Why would you be impure?" he asked. The darkness from this place did touch me when the shield broke...that's the only reason I could see why." she said. "You're hiding something from me Lady Asami...what is going on?" "Look who's talking! You're obviously hiding something as well! Almost everyone in this entire group is! What kind of world is this where we can't even trust eachother?" she asked, obviously angered that she was being attacked. Shinto and I looked at eachother, obviously this wasn't going to end well. "Please...guys...we're almost about to end this whole damn journey. Just put up with eachother for a little longer!" I said, holding Ordell back. "A relationship can't be forged on lies! Remember that Asami!" "I guess we don't have one then!" she said, crying. God dammit...I wanted to stay drama free for as long as possible But instead the enemy found out about our presence and began attacking in swarms. "Damned beasts! Fine...you two figure out your stupid issues while the rest of us fight..." Caliban said, going into his wolf form and crushing the wyverns and demons. "I'm not hiding anything!" Asami barked. "Don't lie to me Asami, why else would they say you aren't innocent anymore?" "All of these issues are affecting me too! I have feelings too dammit! Or do you along with the rest of this group think that all I'm good for is healing?" she yelled. I saw Ordell roll his eyes as he read out his spells and that got her really pissed. "God dammit! I'm so tired of you not listening to me...ya know what?" Asami actually ripped Ordell's tome straight from his hand, read out a spell and caused everything on the mountain to turn into ashes. "H-How?" She took a deep breath and sighed. "Ordell...I want you to trust me okay? And I guess I should probably explain how I did that without triggering the electro-shock you have on this thing huh?" she asked. Ordell nodded with his mouth hanging wide open. "Ordi...I'm well...I'm....kind of....er....ah, look out!" she said pointing behind us. We turned around to see a river of molten hot magma pour down our side of the volcano,"Oh s**t..." was all I could say.


Last one and now I can go to sleep...enjoy...*passes out*
