what do you think is better? band or orchestra?? i wont yell and scream at you if you pick one or the other i'm just curious.
ok, just so everyone knows my pick would be orchestra. and no i am not biased. yes i am in orchestra. but i'm also in the band and choir at my school.
now, let me tell you something. our band gets recognized more than our orchestra does. even though, in my opinion, the orchestra is A LOT better than the band is at playing the music.
SO, anyways, we had a rehersal for symphony orchestra today (band and orchestra insterments combined), and our regualr teacher was gone because she went into labor earlier today. anyway, the band made us sound REALY bad because they had just gotten new music that they had never seen before.
anyway, the director, who is a BAND director might i add, kept acccusing US (orchestra) for doing wrong stuff when it was realy the band that was doing it all. needl;ess to say, the orchestra was pissed at the director!!!
there were also 4 other band directors in there as well (they have never before sat in on a rehersal) thinking that we would need some help from them or something equaly as stupid.
at the end of the rehersal one of them was like "good job orchestra!" sarcasticaly! i just about blue a fuse i was so angry at him!!! he totaly dissed the orchestra!!!
we were usualy realy good at our music but
A) we had a different director,
B) The new director had never looked at the music before,
C) the band was making us sound bad, and
D) HES BIASED!!!!! so yeah thats my opinion.
Sorry i just wanted to rant and rave for a little bit there. i get kinda worked up about this all.

I just thought that i just might add now that i'm editing all of my entries, that as of this comming school year i will no longer be a part of the band program because i had to quit it in order to be in the top choir in my school that i had auditioned for and made it! but i still <3 it!
