Say No, to P.E.T.A
I love animals. Of all kinds. I am not a Vegan, but, I am against Animal Cruelty. Let me explain. ---- I believe that , more importantly, then eating meat, is the abuse of the animals. Humans, and other animals, have eaten each for a long ,long time. Humans are omnivores , certainly. Your body, though, needs the protein. Not of a fast-food burger, or, the slop from McDonalds. The abuse of the animals, and, the unsanitary conditions are the most frightening to me, not eating the animals. The over-breeding of the animals also seems to bother me. Though, your protests fall on deaf ears.-Animal Cruelty is wrong, and, can be dealt with surely in a more graceful and helpful manner. Hiding behind your salads, and showing people horrifying pictures as a 'scare' tactic to join your side - makes you little better then those Religious Zealots who come to your door threatening you with the wrath of hell if you do not fall on your face and follow their word. Only damn fools fall on their faces, ready to throw everything away , because of Fear.Ready to throw away logic, and reasoning. Blindly waving their banners of peace. Willing to use violence to keep that peace if necessary.Such Hypocrisy. Then there comes the subject of Peta :

"The more I learn about PETA, the less I think of them. The story of them killing animals isn't even unusual. According to PETA's own filings, in 2004 PETA killed 86.3 percent of the animals entrusted to its care -- a number that's rising, not falling. Meanwhile, the SPCA in PETA's home town (Norfolk, Va.) was able to find loving homes for 73 percent of the animals put in its care. A shortage of funds? Nope: last year PETA took in $29 million in tax-exempt donations. It simply has other priorities for the funds, like funding terrorism (yes, really). But don't take my word for it: I got my figures from http://www.PETAkillsAnimals.com-- and they have copies of PETA's state and federal filings to back it up. The bottom line: if you donate money to PETA because you think they care for and about animals, you need to think some more. PETA literally yells and screams about how others "kill animals" but this is how they operate? Pathetic. And you know what I wonder? PETA's official count of animals they kill is 86.3 percent. But if they're going around picking up animals, killing them while they drive around and not even giving them a chance to be adopted, and then destroying the evidence by dumping the bodies in the trash, are those deaths being reported? My guess: no. While 86.3 percent is awful, the actual number is probably much, much higher. How dare they lecture anyone about the "ethical" treatment of animals!"

I couldn't agree more. Not only that, they stand bold as Brass and try to get into children's heads. Calling their Father's and Mother's, bunny-killers. Animal killers. Passing out Propaganda at elementary schools. This isn't a scare tactic. This is truth. This is one of the problems.Money - Money- Money- Money- Money - Money-Money-Money.PETA has entirely too much money that does not 'ALWAYS' go to helping the animals. They hire and exploit attractive women to get their points across, they bomb labs (Though do they mostly set the animals free first?) If they can get in that is. They cause destruction to get their point across. Is this peace? Is it really? Is it better for a dog or cat, or whatever, to be found a good home, and given a chance at life, or killed and tossed into a dumpster? You may say, "But they send money to the blah blah blah." If they didn't send money, or keep up a front, would they really have people on their side? I doubt it. What's sending $200,000 to a Charity/Kennel/Vet Clinic for animals, and pocketing the other 2 billion dollars? Do they truly deserve TAX-EXEMPT status?

Here is what a few loving pet owners had to say over P.E.T.A =

"I blame PETA for giving the public the false sense that they take donations in order to help animals. Taking dogs from shelters and telling them they'll find them homes and then put the to death immediately is a flat out lie and is so wrong on many different levels. It is scary that you don't see anything wrong with that. Why don't you start a campaign against breeding and then if that can be curbed for awhile, there wouldn't be a huge need for these shelters. No, gotta have designer dogs!"

"According to Virginia's Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS), the average euthanasia rate for humane societies in the state was just 34.7 percent in 2006. Yet Peta, an organization with millions more at their disposal than these shelters, managed to kill almost every animal that they came in contact with. We can remedy the problem by exposing organizations like Peta for the frauds they are, because they clearly could care less about the animals they take in."" Except PETA members are against shelters that do euthanize."

"I am a Buddhist, a vegan and non violence to all living creatures. But PETA is a corrupt and evil group that tricks youngsters into thinking lies and then do their dirty work for them. We should respect all life, but never force our beliefs on another..."

"Funny, I thought that a valuable right for animals would be freedom from brutal death. I do hold beliefs that most dogs should be spayed and neutered, simply because rescue organizations and individuals cannot care for the floods in the shelters. However, those animals should live out happy lives in homes, where they belong.Unfortunately, this is where we are now. No amount of mass murder will reset the food chain."

"Sure, I can understand wanting to keep the animal population in control. However, what really gets my gun is that PETA keeps encouraging the attacks on shelters, even no-kill shelters, when they're killing more than 2/3 of the animals they "rescue" themselves. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. I just think they should leave it to the people who aren't hypocrites."

"What makes sense is that 99% of PETA's abuse videos are staged up in order to shut down even the most humane animal based bussinesses, and no one has even bothered to find that out.Look deeper."

"We feed our pets, groom them, shower them with affection; my cat is sleeping on my bed, with a full stomach in a room at 71 F. The dog is in her house, her very own quarters, in the kitchen next to the stove snoring after a belly rub. PETA THINK THIS IS CRUEL? Do they think the wild (38 F outside, windy, raining, no food they know how to catch) Is BETTER?! THEY ARE INSANE! They are cruel, they are naive, and they are barbaric through ignorance! May they be eaten."

I close this in agreement, "May they be eaten."
