The sun was a bright red this morning. Its warmth drying the morning dew from the delicate blades of grass and from the leaves of trees. The shadows crawled away, giving way to day light. Mai-Yu stirred in her bed. The light hitting her face.Not that it bothered her. She was blind. Mai-yu sat up, her feet hitting the cold wooden floor.She rubbed her anntenae,they were still sore from laying on them all night. Her wings unfurled, and her eyespots blinked. "Good morning."she said to no one. Her hair was a shiny silver today, long and cascading down her shoulders. She picked up two blind folds from her nightstand, and tied them around her forehead and eyes, one on top of the other.Her flannel night dress gently carressing the floor as she walked to her closet. She grabbed a random outfit and got dressed. And stepped toward the window. Then she did something most people woldn't expect.

She jumped.
