7/31/1801, 10pm: It has been a few days now since we kidnapped Zane. keeping him around is getting tough. I get a weird feeling everytime he is around. I'm not quite sure what it means. Maybe the smell of a living thing with blood coursing through it's vains is making me batty. Whatever it is, I like it. I feel all warm inside. Zane is a pretty nice guy, despite being held captive. Marie told me his veiws on vampires are not the same as his father. I can tell too. He treats me with respect and kindness, even though he knows what I am. It tis strange, but comforting to know not all humans hate vampires. But who can blame them. We live off of sucking their blood and if they are living when bitten, then they become vampires themselves, cursed to drink blood and live in the night as we do.
But not all vampires have to avoid the sun. In fact, I am one of the only vampires in my family that have to stay in the night. My cousins, the Princes of the vampires, and my brother, Virgo, can all walk in the sun without dieing. So back where I come from, I was pretty much alone. When I was awake, my family was asleep. Chronokei was sometimes up when we were at their castle for visits, but like I said, I was alone.
I hated it.
