Strayed Ends Part 3

Audun gave a laugh, but inside tensed for a moment out of petrifying fear of the unknown. He advanced again on the weaponless Kay, with the intent not to kill her, but make her suffer.
“Beg for your life,” Audun ordered slowly with a smirk.
As he grabbed her shoulder she retched free and locked her hands together, she brought her fists up together smashing him under the jaw. For a moment this made Audun stumble back. Kay was not going down without a fight. He should have expected that, and no less from her.
“Never!” she growled in anger.
But Kay for all she was worth was getting weak, her mind unclear on many things. So when Audun grabbed her ankle and brought her down she was started to say the least.
He leaned up and jabbed his elbow into her stomach where he had kicked. He earned a scream of pain from the depths of Kay’s throat that was drowned by the blood that she coughed up. He wrenched her ankle down and pulled her so he was leaning on her knees and let her ankle go.
“Still you refuse? Oh Kay, you have lost your mind it seems. I guess it was to be expected,” he said with a mere shrug of his shoulders.
Grabbing Kay’s wrist he let her weary hand rest in his own. He put her little finger between his thumb and hand.
“You don’t need this do you? I mean come on the great Kay has no need for anything right?” he laughed.
Pushing back her little finger you would expect something more. Something scary like out of a story, or something painful like a cut. But all there was was a SNAP. Kay didn’t twitch an eye and didn’t look at her hand. All the same though, she was silent as a ghost. Maybe even as pale as one, despite her copper island skin.
Audun did not get the response he was looking for, not in the least. He fumed behind those dark grey eyes of his. Grabbing her ring finger he set it up in the same position.
“I am positive you don’t need this one,” he sarcastically laughed. “It’s not like you would ever get married in this lifetime. You would probably kill the guy before you got to the alter.”
Kay made a growling sound and clenched her teeth; she readied herself for the pain. But it never came; she waited and still nothing from the brute moved. Her eyes finally focused on his face and she saw he was staring open mouthed at something in front of them. There was a snarl that did no come from Kay; it was much more vicious and bloody curling than her own.
The silver blur hit Audun hard enough to make him let go of Kay and fall backwards. Hitomi’s teeth sunk deeply into the side of Audun’s neck. He shook his anvil head vigorously trying to succeed in tearing his throat out in a single bite.
Audun was no one to go lightly, he pounded Hitomi with his fists and tried to grab his scruff and pull him off. He even resorted to trying to grab Hitomi’s neck and suffocate him. But it was the dog who had the upper hand in this situation. Audun didn’t even get a chance to pull a knife before his arms stopped obeying his commands. His vision was dotted black and finally it consumed him as Hitomi made his final strike.
