my heart breaks minute by minute knowing it.

I look up in the sky only to see it shower me in blood,
the blood that came from my thorn infested heart.
I cry out your name,
will you listen?
I go to the highest hill tops to see if you are there,
only to fall and see the deep blue sky once again.
This time though it does not rain,
but it shines upon me.
Minute by minute I lose you,
but minute by minute I gain a new love.
That does not mean I will not forget.
But even the strongest of loves will not end it,
it will not end my pain.
My thorn infested heart will bleed till the day,
the day when one shall free me of it.
