Always rejected by his father, Ciel was a young boy of only seventeen. Desperate for his father's love and attention, he ran away from home, the kingdom, and set off on a journey of his own to see the world. "You are too young," the king told him. His older brother was the perfect heir to the throne, and also crown prince. Ambitious, wise, and kind, able to rule the kingdom like a mother would raise her child. Seeing no necessary reason for him to stay at home, he ditched his engagement party with the princess of another kingdom. There were many guilds around the world that fulfilled jobs sent out by the Parliament. He decided to create one of his own, though he would need at least three more members for it to be an approved guild. "Friends. Comrades... I need some," he told himself, "and quick!" He was a stubborn boy and even rash, though quick on his feet and thoughts. Throwing away his family name and soon meeting Raylene, his navigator, and recruiting Koryn, ...some dude, he began a life of freedom, only to follow hardship. However, each character has a problem of his or her own.Penelope, his childhood friend who lived in the slums, started her own adventure; the quest to look for him.
His father, the king, sent out a reward to whoever would find him. With no one knowing his true identity, and with no picture yet only description, Ciel would have to change his name. "Holland! Holland Loewen." He called himself. Dying his hair, the only thing he could not change was his eye color. Wearing simple clothes, and carrying only the most useful things with him, he tried his best to fit in, and look like any other guild master. Buying his own ship, he starts his own journey; sailing to the ocean sky, discovering sky islands, meeting the fairies, and mermaids from the New World, he begins his own story. And so do his fellow members of the guild.
