Saya never realized that her desire to "kill Diva and save the world from Chiropterans" was just a petty excuse for revenge. In the end, she never realized that after she killed Diva, she became much worse than her younger sister. She actually forgot about her!
I certainly would not have killed her. Other than that, I might have tried to reason with her, understanding that Joel I was a cold-hearted scientist who got attached to his experiment, and that his treatment of her was unforgiveable. I would try to reach out to the true side of Diva that she displayed just moments before her death--when she got to see her "akachan's" cocoons just before she crystallized. That was her true self.
