Finally, things began to pick up, and by the time they were, Jack had taken up drinking. It wasn't just the club that was picking up, but his relationships as well.
He didn't see how rough it would become in days ahead. He just let himself do as he pleased, do as he lusted. He was free.
Oddly enough, said relationships LET him.
Oddly enough it would go beyond lust.
The beat of the music and the beat of hearts, numbered so many in this True Sleepless City, the boy began to feel his own. True he had LOVED before, but only recently had that person come to notice him... his Dark Hero Chase Young.
Why were they letting him? Why did they agree to share him?
It was a question that would never be answered in quite the way he wanted.

After a time in the Club, Jack began to notice something.
It wasn't that half his clubbers and constant patrons were hardly human.
It wasn't that a twelve-year-old with a chainsaw was his constant antagonist.
It wasn't that Chase was actually staying in the City.
No, what Jack noticed was this: his other self, GJack, was coming on to him.
At first he didn't get it, but after an event involving and overzealous clubber girl, a random forced makeout, a killer pissy-dark wizard and a clearly flustered jacob, he began to get it. Surely, he had flirted with the other boy quite a lot, but he hadn't had any idea that whereas he himself was rather naiive, GJack was...
Well, the kiss following the implausible "Wizard Incedent" spoke for itself.
That was on his mind, but so was another event...
He was cetrain Chase had watched them the entire time.
And he had seen that deadly grin...

There would be no real way to fight back against something as deep-rooted and terrible as history. Surprisingly, not many people realize this. Those who realize it best of all are the ones ho have lived through such "history".
Especially those who have lived through hundreds of years of it.
In tsuDAKI there is very little history, only about eighty years worth. But that is enough time for nearly two generations to be born in-city, and enough time for a war within the City limits. The Turf Wars taught the City leaders something, that making history was a dangerous business.
With new dangers facing the City, the war had to be won, and it was won. And those who began the battle were cursed and sealed away at a deadly price. Those Accursed creatures roam the depths of long-forgotten subways, burned by "sunfire" and objects shaped like Stars.
It was said a Star traded its life to ensure that tsuDAKI continued to make History. Whether or not this is true has yet to be divined.
History is important to tsuDAKI, no matter how little it has itself. When at last the Heylin and Tricksters found their way to the City, there was an order made by an unknown force:
"These beings, many of them far older than we could ever hope to be are to be respected. They are incredibly destructive and must be treated like a volatile substance as well as respected for their age and power. All people in the Heylin District and Trickster Hall vicinity will take extra care as one would around a volcanoe or wild animal. This is vital to our survival as well as a move to respect those who understand the world so much better than us."
And yet there are still those who would not listen, and even the grand Elder Heylin cannot escape history.

"Don't worry Jack! I promise to be just as cool as you!" It was pretty close to opening day, and those were the words that stood out to Jack the most. GJack was him, but he was lacking in the cool department, for sure. It was nice to have someone look up to him none the less.
So he had it in his mind what he was going to do. Attract customers, bring in the party, gain trust in the City and then take it over, and then move on to the rest of the world. One city full of crazy ravers wasn't a bad place to start, considering he fit right in with them. And fitting in was something that Jack Spicer was not used to, but that didn't mean it wasn't something he didn't like.
His position as a DJ had upped peoples respect for him at least a little bit, but he needed some new clothes. And so did GJack, the sweatervest HAD to go. Meh, he would do that after he got the Club set up well. He watched Jacob dash off to greet Raimundo and Kimiko as they came in to set up, showering them with glowsticks and other rave paraphenalia. He couldn't help but smile, but the smile quickly turned to smug smirk as raimundo glanced his way. "How's it hangin', guys? Any song requests?"
"Ooh, I know! We should play Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen~!" Jacob asked bouncily, probably naming the first song off the top of his head. But Jack happened to have a good remix of it for spinning, and put it on to spin right away as Kimiko set up the bar and Raimundo got the ladder for rigging the lights.
Jackbots were sent on miscellaneous jobs, but soon things were shaping up just right, and it looked more like a club than a dingy warehouse at the very least.
It was around that time that Chase finally decided to show up, looking as regal as ever but a bit on the annoyed side. "What did you need me for, Spicer?" He asked upon sighting the boy.
Jack rushed over and pulled him in. "AH, good to have you here, sir, we need help setting up the place!"
"So long as I do not have to go back and deal with 'the Girls' I suppose I will stay..."
"Oh..." Jack inwardly groaned at the mention of the Heylin Sisterhood and nodded. "Well, I think we have a room you can stay in or something, if you need to."
Chase glared the suggestion right back into Jack's throat. "No, I am fine, thank you. Wuya is off getting drunk with..." He left the sentance unfinished, his glare tapering off to an almost miserable glower.
"Xio...? Man, I still have bruises from the last time that damnass midget was around..." Jack rubbed his shoulder... and remembered that he wasn't truly a Heylin, he wasn't truly accepted where it counted.
"I am surprised you're still alive if it was Xio..." Chase chuckled, a bit coldly maybe, but at least it was something. They talked for a little bit(more like Jack made annoying smalltalk) before Spicer had to run off screaming "EVIL DOES NOT PAINT BUTTERFLIES ON WALLS."
The first few days, peaceful and fun, the beginning of the Grand Plan...

Jack Spicer, Evil Boy Genius was SICK of his lifestyle. He was almost eighteen, and something inside of him yearned for freedom. Perhaps it was because he had finally had a taste of what it was like to be brave and free during the Curse shift when he became a Lemur, or maybe it was his newfound love of engineering music along with his robots, or maybe he was just growing up, or maybe it was due to the fact that at last he knew what it was like to make love and to be in love. Maybe it was all of these things put together... Regardless, Jack was getting antsy. So, he made an appeal to his sheltering mother:
"Let me get a place, a club, I can get a job and finally start doing things! I wanna' be a DJ!"
It took a lot of begging, but at last his mother warily gave in, and not without much fretting... She had actually gotten a mail in from somewhere that there was a need for talented musicians in a far-off city...
tsuDAKI... Why did that sound so familiar?
Mrs. Spicer funded Jack's purchase of an abandoned warehouse, which he would eventually revamp into a Nightclub worthy of the Heylin, Steel and Bass and Glimmer, but not without help from his friends. Taking the Fabled L-Train over the mountains to tsuDAKI, the True Sleepless City, Jack suffered a horrible panic attack at the thought of leaving home for good and the fiersome storm that rocked the train only made it worse. The boy used one of his last Shen Gong Wu, the Ring of the Nine Dragons to seperate his good side from himself, ending the dependancy on his mother and clearing his mind once and for all, making him darker and more prepared for the life ahead.
Jack and Good Jack exited the train, finding the Warehouse and setting jackbots to work on revamping, and before long, they were almost ready...
"Come and help us, Rai! Clay and Kimiko and Omi too! WHADDAYA' MEAN I'M A DUMBASS? Look, just get your a** over here, alright? Consider it a challenge. HA. XIAOLIN f**!" He hung up the phone as fast as he could. "YEAH, They're going to help! Now I just need to convince Chase..."
Easier said than done... a fancy letter perhaps? No one really knows how he did it, but Chase did eventually join the others at what would become the epicenter of the rise of the Heylin from Villany to the Dark Heroes of the City...
