It's 5:04 A.M. and I'm stuck here at home... no really, I'm literally stuck here! My last mission didn't go according to plan. Now, why on earth could one become so injured to the point of being put out of work for 4 weeks? I'll be glad to tell you why; Naruto. No big surprise there, hm? Our last mission was to intercept a nin and retrieve the scroll in his possession. Doesn't seem so difficult, he was only a Chuunin with no real threat. But it could only take Naruto to mess everything up. There were 5 of us- there may have been one nin, but he did have several Jounin level rouge Shinobi escorting him to his destination. The 5 nin's were, Shikamaru, Sakura, Naruto, Sai, and myself. Now, can any other sane person tell me what this team spells out? |D|I|S|A|S|T|E|R| The nin carrying the scroll had at least 25 guards with him. We were each scattered out. Shikamaru's plan, as he was trying to say over the ear piece radio. Was that Sakura, Naruto, and Sai were suppose to confront these Shinobi and we'd stay hidden. He was going to hold the carrier-nin with the Shadow Possession Jutsu, while I hit him with my Shintenshin Jutsu. I can easily make it seem like the target is simply fleeing from the fight to continue his mission as the others fight them. There, I can safely hide the scroll and return to my body and pick it up later. Of course, that was the plan we had, until Sai made a comment about Naruto. In which he was bragging he could knock down every one of the nin by himself that were just passing by our line of sight. But of course, Sai has to interrupt and say (rather sarcastically, which was surprising.) "That's pretty big talk, for someone lacking a d**k." Naruto, being the idiot he is, started yelling at the top of his lungs at Sai which alerted the Shinobi and ultimately ruining our previous plan. Sakura, on the other hand, I could hear her coughing and choking from the comment over the ear piece before she started in on the yelling and scolded the two. So now, one of my legs was nearly crushed, and there are other injuries which will require a lot of time to heal, which is why I'm stuck at home. I've specifically ask Tsunade-sama to never assign me on a mission with Naruto again... She didn't blame me. But to help me cheer up, Mom found an old box I had from when I was in the Academy. It had laminated flowers, an old necklace I use to wear, hair clips, pictures, and a bunch of other things. The pictures helped me remember a lot of what I forgot over time. One picture was of me and Sakura in front of the Academy. Another was of a few other people I knew back then. And another one... It was of me, and 3 other people. At first, I was a little happy from those memories of that summer, it was the same time I met Sakura. But then, considering who was in the picture, it made me a little worried. When I first started at the Academy, I was actually friends with this person. Well, only because our Mothers were good friends and went to the Academy together. I remember Mom always cut a certain type of flower and had me bring them to her after school every week. The woman, in other words, was none other then Sasuke's Mother. Weird, now that I actually think about it. I don't even know why or how I could have forgot about it. But we were friends for the beginning of the summer there, or I'd just hang around after I dropped the flowers off from my Mother. It's strange though how a person can change so much. He always followed his Brother around, if they weren't picking on each other. You could tell he admired him and wanted to be just like him. Scary thought though when you can say, "I knew Uchiha Itachi before he killed his clan." It'd probably scare people if I said that. But fact of the matter is, I did. Well sort of anyway. Usually if he agreed to train with Sasuke, they'd ask if I wanted to watch. It was always funny when Itachi won the match and poked Sasuke's forehead, nearly knocking him over. I remember going over there one day and found that no one was home but those two. We couldn't find Itachi anywhere in his room, until we looked up... He was sitting on the ceiling reading a book. Given, books and scrolls were scattered every where. But the ceiling!? When we asked how he got up there, all he said was, "Chakra." and kept reading like it was no big deal. Talk about weird training methods. But since around that time, my Father was teaching me family Jutsu's I could concentrate my chakra to my feet. Even though I fell off the wall countless times, I finally was able to sit across from him on the ceiling. Sasuke, on the other hand, had a difficult time just to get the chakra to his feet. Telling him how to concentrate did little to no effect seeing as how he didn't listen, eventually pouting and sitting on the bed. It was funny until I slipped and fell, but out of reflex Itachi caught my wrist before I got too far... If I'm not mistaken, I think we were 7 almost 8 and Itachi was 13 back then. Well anyway, we ended up meeting someone else around then. I forgot his name though. But I remembered he had blonde hair and blue eyes. He was friends with Itachi, but hung out with us too. I think he was 12, and was from another country. An odd one, but funny. He always had a sketch book with him and was usually drawing. I do know that after many times of trying and failing, he ended up showing me how to draw a rose that didn't look... well... dead. And that's pretty much the only thing I know how to draw well besides an Iris. That picture I had found, was of Sasuke, Itachi, me, and the blonde boy. I think it was a random one their Mother took, because it was from the doorway to their house. She must have given a copy to my Mom, because as far as I knew the picture didn't exist. Even then, I'm surprised my Mom didn't look for it and burn it. Well, around then I met Sakura, and you can guess what happened after that. Our competition began. Even though I had never told her myself I liked him. It was because he was also my friend, and so was Sakura. But I guess in the end I ended up losing both friendships. The blonde haired boy ended up leaving a little while later by the end of the summer, not saying anything more then good-bye. Weeks later, is when Itachi had killed his clan. I guess since that happened, I blocked out that whole summer. And seeing as how his Mother was gone, I really had no excuse left to visit. So I never really seen him except for in the Academy. And even growing up since that happened he went from the quiet and somewhat shy kid, to the even more quiet but cold hearted type. But still, all of that is in the past now... Though I still wonder what the name was of the blonde haired boy from the picture. I just can't seem to remember it at all. Who knows, maybe one day I'll remember it, or just happen to see him again. Either way, as of now it's still a mystery. heart
