This is a generic copy of my blacklist system. I invented this myself. You have all permission to copy and modify this system for RPs, hangout threads, and anything else you like, so long as you don't take credit for inventing the system, even if it's got major modifications. Basically, give credit where credit is due.
It has been copied from this thread, which was its debut thread.

THE BLACKLIST SYSTEM
Because I realize we're all human (yeah, okay, some of you pretend you're nonhuman) and we all make mistakes, this is a point system and allows for error.

The system works like this: Below are half-point, one-point, two-point, three-point, four-point, and five-point rules (the zero-point rules are just notices). Breaking one of these rules will add a point to your username (you can see your point count here). Five or more points will put you on the blacklist (yes, you can continue to rack up points even after you're on the list -- I wouldn't if I were you). If you'd like to erase points from your name, all you have to do is erase those posts, and PM me telling me you erased/edited your post AND tell me the page number so I can make sure you're not fooling with me.

Zero-point rules (read: notices):
arrow If you break a rule, I'll PM you and tell you (half-point rules exempt).
arrow If and when you get to three or four points, I'll PM you and let you know you're getting dangerous.
arrow Points WILL stay no matter how old the post is, so if you want to keep a clean slate, I'd suggest you get on it.
arrow My PMs will ALWAYS look like this:

arrow You aren't stuck on the blacklist. Apologize and I will be glad to erase your points.

The only two half-point rules:
Rule 1: Be semi-literate. And when I say semi-literate, I mean it. I know you can read and write. I know you have awsum chatspk/txtin sklz, but the point of surveys (besides making money) is for other people to find people to connect to here on Gaia (that's rather the point of Gaia itself), and if we can't read your answers, how are we supposed to know if that band you love so much is AC/DC or your air conditioner?
Rule 2: Watch your mouth. Yeah, I know we all swear once in a while, but the way to make friends is not by impressing them with the sewer you've stored in your brain. "Watch your mouth" also means "be kind of nice" which means don't harp on people just because they said their most-hated song is your favorite (or vice versa). I will ignore signatures.

One-point rules:
Rule 3: Don't post without a question and answer. If you're chatting, that's fine (you always have the freedom to take it to PMs). Just make SURE you put a question and answer with it and PLEASE mark it clearly enough for me to see it without having to decipher what you're saying.
Rule 4: No leet/l33t/|33+. Use real words. I'm serious. Leet is annoying and while this IS the Chatterbox, there are leet-speak threads floating around. Use your leet skillz there.
Rule 5: FOLLOW THE TOS. 'Nuff said.
Rule 6: No pagestretching. That means don't put the whole stinkin' quiz in one post! I do not want carpal tunnel! Keep it under twenty questions a post, okay? Besides, you get more gold if you don't pagestretch!

Two-point rules:
Rule 7: No complaining. I am empress of this thread. My word is law. I'm a just ruler (I gave you a way to apologize for your mishaps and get off the blacklist -- you should be thanking me).

Three-point rule:
Rule 8: NO FLAMING/SPAMMING/BUMPING. Flaming does not make you cool. It makes you look like a noob and an idiot. Spamming violates rule number three. Bumping also violates rule three. If you want to bump, this is the place for you.

Four-point rule:
Rule 9: Don't post answers that violate the rules. Just because it's an answer doesn't make it exempt from the rules.

Five-point rules:
Rule 10: No advertising! This is not an advertisement thread for ANYTHING. Do not post links to anything unless it is part of your answer.


Rule 11: DO NOT -- I repeat, DO NOT -- post sexual/inappropriate content. That includes, but is not limited to: innuendos, comments about other users, and links to pornography or other inappropriate content. And it also violates the rules. No talking about genitalia or activities involving the genitalia. Follow the TOS.
