The Travel Log- Other side of the gate (story)

Day Zero- My day of arrival. People think I'm crazy. I'm dressed differently, I talk differently, and it seems I can't use alchemy over here. How am I supposed to open the gate and get back without alchemy? I guess I may be here longer than planned if that's the case. I remember reading something a long while ago about a specific transmutation circle you had to use...because on this side, they believe that magic exists. If only I could remember what the circle was...but for now I need to find somewhere to stay. For Tonight...I'm going to have to sleep in a box or something...yuck...last time I did that I had just arrived in gaia with no home, no alchemic knowledge, and no job. But they do say history repeats itself....I only hope they're trying to get me back on the other side, or that they even know how. (Apr 7, 2006)

Day One- My first full day here. They call this place 'Italy' apparently. The food is AMAZING. It kinda makes me homesick...tastes just like Khana and Winly's pasta dishes. -sigh- I miss those two more than they'll ever know...And it looks like I'm going to be sleeping in a box again tonight. Still no place to stay. I miss my bed in my flat and I miss the cafe crying . (Apr 8, 2006)

Day Two- I leave Italy today. It makes me too homesick, plus I finally found a place to stay. I have found a roommate. Someone who believes my story. Someone willing to teach me what I need to know to get back, the correct transmutation circle, or what they call "magic circles" over here. Apparently something used to use magic without mana? His name is Nickolye Maskelyne and he's part of the group "The Magic Circle". I now reside in a place called France, but the locals call it "The City of Romance". I feel just as homesick here though, for obvious reasons...it's the city...of romance. (Apr 9th, 2006)

Day Three- The time is near...I can feel it...I'm finally going back. Nickolye shared the secrets with me...I attended one of the meetings of "The Magic Circle" and picked up many things...now just to find out where to go...the homesickness gets worse and worse every day, and I miss Khana, Winri, Yumi...everyone else at the cafe. But I must stay strong...they'll find me a way back, I just know they will...(Apr 10th, 2006)

Day Four- Much to my surprise...look who showed up. My good friend Yumi Arishima. She brings the message that all my friends, including Khana, are trying to get me back and will be setting off soon. It would sure explain the feeling that the time of my return is near. The only question is...how will I get past the gate if alchemy will be void? I won't be able to speed through it like last time....And do my friends really know how to open the gate for long enough by themselves without performing a human transmutation? And if so...where did they learn? Yumi told me I should go to an underground tunnel, some sort of subway tunnels. I'll just have to be careful, I have no idea whether the rails are charged.(Apr 11th, 2006)

Day Five- I woke up this morning feeling a bit better. A familiar face got rid of at least SOME of my homesickness, but I still miss everything from Gaia...The Cafe, Khana, Winri...there must be something I can do. Mr. Maskelyne is letting Yumi stay here as well. I think tomorrow I'm going to go down to the subway tunnels tomorrow and begin marking them up with the transmutati...er..."magic circle" to open the Gate. Apparently the tunnels where I have to be are still active...subways and all. I think i'll get Yumi or Nickolye to go down with me in case something happens, because the tunnel is still an active subway tunnel, meaning electrically charged tracks, meaning much danger. I'll have to be careful...(April 12th, 2006)

Day Six Part One- I'm currently down in the tunnels, and I'm putting up the circle. I've drawn a diagram in this journal for my own reference, so I can't mess up on what it looks like and end up in yet ANOTHER world. I'm beginning to see just what symbols are included in this circle and i'm finally beginning to comprehend it. I should be able to get back by...

s**t! THIS IS NICKOLYE WRITING THIS. WE'RE CURRENTLY EVACUATING THE TUNNELS. VERIDEL MISTAKENLY HIT ONE OF THE CHARGED RAILS AND WE'RE RUSHING HIM TO THE HOSPITAL! END OF ENTRY. (April 13th, 2006)

Day Six Part Two- This is Nickolye Maskelyne writing in his travelog again. I just wanted to write an update in this to explain Veridel's absence of entries. He will be unconcious for about the next week, or so the hospital says. This is certainly troublesome. However, I will be going down with Yumi to finish the circle so that we may depart as soon as Veridel returns to conciousness. Maskelyne out. (April 13th, 2006)

((OOC: The previous entry (Day Six both parts) were written with Veridel getting injured because I will be on a cruise to Jamaica until Sunday, April 23rd. I will continue this story when I return. Bon Vayage everyone! ^^))
