A lot has happened just as the summer came to a close. For one, I started reading the Twilight series, which has a growing fan base as well as a movie coming out sometime in the future. And I've found that I'm a lot like one of the book's characters, Jacob Black. Of course, this was one of the factors that lead me to read the book, since a friend of mine (who I'm quite loyal to) told me often how much I was like him. I saw the similarities quite instantly, although there are some differences between the two of us. And this similarity sparked a new interest for me: werewolves. The idea of them being protectors instead of bringers of chaos brought me to like them, especially since I already like wolves as it is.
Something else that happened during this time was that there was a celebration going on in a guild I'm a member of: Watch The Hammer. This month they've got a good and evil theme, and so there are also contests going on. I decided to take part of a dice rolling contest for the good side (which I joined) and rolled for a prize. It took countless dice rolls and a bit more than two hours to roll a 7, which was needed for the prize.
Today officially marked the end of summer in my books. It was cold, and the rain made it colder. Plus the temperature difference knocked me out once I got home. So it's time to say goodbye to swim trunks and hello to heavy jackets.
