Champagne heard the door close and she left the bathroom to find the door quite lonely. Tears still blocked her view and she went to to desk and tried to read what Roy had wrote, but she couldn't make out the words even as she tried to dry her eyes.

She gave up finally and she went to the nearby window and gazed out upon the town that seemed busy even at this time of night. She was wounded and couldn't stay here, not when everything smelled like him.

She wanted to know why he wanted her and yet would not admit it...why he would not allow her to get close to him. It hurt and she cried out and it turned into the roar of a wounded beast. She changed into a pair of his pants and a blouse and she pulled her hair back into a ponytail before she headed out into the night.

She hoped to find some sort of comfort when she could not find it in him.

Dearest Champagne:

This is more graver than any wound, more hurtful than any sort of weapon that has harmed millions of people all over this foul earth..

I never have rejected your desire. I found my own in yours. The reason why I could never say..was because of the many times people has ran from what I'm slowly becoming.

I've been cruel, even my hands, are too stained with blood to make me be a human being.

Because of this pain and misery I kept bringing you, I will let you be alone. Do as you wish. Should you return, and I have not returned, sleep without me. I will be fine.

Please forgive me..

Roy Awayu.

"Ace of Hearts, Ace of Spades, Ace of Diamonds, Ace of Clubs..A four in a kind," Roy said, smirking while laying down his hand as the other players sneered at his winnings so far.

Champagne had nearly forgotten what a dangerous town he had brought them to and she wandered the streets, with her hands in the pockets of his pants. They were much to big and she was hoping she could find a place for a belt. She gazed into the shop windows the majority of them dark and she sighed. She was quickly approaching an alleyway and she distinctly heard the sound of feeding and she ran to the alley opening and her eyes detected to the two forms.

The vampire looked up at her and pulled away from the neck of the young woman he had been so feverishly feeding on. There was blood everywhere as he spoke to her, "Don't worry my dear....you'll get your turn....."
Champagne wouldn't have fled any other time, but this time she did because she wanted to get away from all that blood. It made her hungry and she was too far from the hotel now to go and get a bottle from her stock. Pain rolled through her as she fought the hunger, the beast clawing its way to the surface when she caught the scent of blood and alcohol in the air and she followed it, finding herself at a bar. She entered the establishment and walked around, squeezing in between people so that she could find a place to sit.

This probably wasn't the wisest idea and yet she did it anyways. She had not idea that Roy was here and she took the one empty seat in the corner and just watched everyone. A young man too young to even really be here approached her and whispered something in her ear. She couldn't really make out what he said over the noise around them, but she nodded and the next thing she knew Champagne was sitting on his lap and they had a roung of drinks in front of them. Never being much of a drinker the alcohol hit her hard and she leaned against the man with his dirty blond hair and blue eyes, the opposite of Roy, and she found herself with her head on his shoulder so very close to his neck.

It wasn't like her to do what she did next, but she bit him, hard and wrapped her arms around him to make it look as though she were just playing with him. She drank slowly, savoring the flavor. Her body becoming alive as she felt his arousal. She stopped and pulled away, closing the wound before she got up and she smiled to him as he sat there with a dazed look on his face and mouthed a, "Thanks" as she headed back towards a separate room of the bar, now that she felt much better.
A pair of hands slammed down on the desk, causing Roy to look wearily at a man who was at his right side as he stood, the smell of alcohol reeking from his breath as the eyes were bloodshot and murderous. But he wasn't alone in seeing this, the crowd stopped in whatever they were doing to see what was happening.

It was almost like seeing his reflection, a physical reality of what he was before. Only a minor difference.

Roy was much more good looking than this hairy and foul man.

"You rotten, cheating scum!" the man cussed at him before he, plus two others, pulled out guns and had aimed them at Roy, who was sitting rather leasurely, enjoying the spectacle.

"Cheating, huh? Are you sure you're not having a bad stroke of luck?" Roy asked while a smirk peeked out of the corner of his lips.

"I'll take the money, mister, you just die."

"Let's make a little wager, shall we? If you think I'm cheating you, shoot me before I pull out my knife and make a mark on you that you'll never forget," Roy said, slightly cold and harsh, but rather threatening as they laughed at him.

"A knife, huh? You're not even armed!" the man laughed.

"Count to three, things do change in that much time, you know," he said while resting his eyes.

"Fine, have it your way then," the man said before counting, the others getting a bit fidgety. "One... two... th-!??!?!?!"

At rapid speed, before the man could blink, a flash of silver shot past his face, but it didn't come once, but again, stopping at his eye while the other two were down, in pain and yet..alive.

Roy's eyes seemed much colder, as if he were nothing but a devil trapped in a body of a man, making the man shake at what he was seeing, blood dripping down his cheek and onto the floor.

"You've seen for yourself that I have not cheated no one nothing. Now scram, quietly, and take these cretins with you," he said before putting the knife away, the man doing exactly what he was told..

Only to run out of the bar completely as the audience seemed to clap, but kept their gazes from him, murmurs starting to rise as Roy sat down and smiled at the dealer.

"Another hand, please. My luck's just getting higher and higher."

Champagne heard the commotion and slipped into the crowd forming around the men and wasn't too surprised to see Roy. She went to the bar and asked the barkeep for a bottle of whiskey and a shot glass and carried it back to where Roy sat.

She came up behind him silently and placed a full shotglass on the table next to him, "Looks like you could use this tiger......" She smiled softly her lips stained red from the blood of the young man, but she never knew that she had spilled a drop.

Roy looked to her before extending an arm to her.

"Well well, the sparkling gem in that of a cute pirate girl," he smirked. "Come, sit on my knee and drink with me whilst I win."

However, his eyes read differently. They seemed to send a message directly.

What..have you done?!

She laughed and played along as she took a place upon his knee, "Winning big are ya, sir?...Maybe I'll bring you better luck....."

She cuddled up to him and saw the bewilderment in his eyes and looked a little confused at the look.

She picked up the shotglass and held it for him, waiting for him to take the shot before playing another round of cards.

Roy took the glass and drank it down before whispering softly in her ear.

"Who did you drink?.."

Before saying more, he moved his head, his hand resting rather comfortably on her stomach before eyeing the cards before lightly tapping once on the table for a replacement hand with a finger. When the cards was re-dealt, he picked up his hand and smirked a little, his hand revealing to her a full house, two threes of clubs and diamonds, while the other three were Queens of the club, spade and heart.

She laughed and purred in his ear, "Wouldn't you like to know...wanna make sure he's sitll living?...If you must know its a guy sitting in the corner....he's fine, just a littel dazed...."

Champagne winked at him keeping up their act as if they were new to one another. She took her hand and placed it on top of his and smiled warmly before she looked back to the dealer and then to Roy.

She took the abandoned shotglass and poured some whiskey before tilting her head back to take the shot. Just one shot combined with the drink that she had earlier made her cling to Roy as he played.

"Hybrid's huh?," he asked while relaxing at her touch. She had seemed to know well on what she was doing, but his skin slightly tingled at the light kisses on his shoulders, the nibbling making his body crave more of this fanciful desire, which was sort of hard on his own dilemma.

To stop before he made a very bad move.

"It's good that the Hunters are after them, the less abominations we have, the less crime. Don't misunderstand, I'm not becoming no hero or police, not to mention Hunters were lousy at doing things rather orderly, they're corrupt no matter if they are on the side of good," he stated before resting his eyes.

"Those hybrids don't deserve to live. They've murdered countless innocent people all for the sake of their own survival. Unlike vampires, they're actually dumber than the rest. I pity them because that is what happened, but none the less, they should have used their brains a bit more."

Of course, this sounded cruel and harsh coming from him, but he was right. Over countless years, anything crossbred between vampires or anything else, turned into a monstrosity that had to be destroyed. Their own pain was harsher than any, why should they continue on?
Champagne's ministrations continued on Roy's back, moving all the way down to the hem of his pants and she slowly worked her way back up, continuing to knead his flesh, feeling its warmth beneath her fingers.

She felt him tense and smiled thinking that it was a pleasure response to her touch and attention. She leaned down so that her moth was only inches from his ear, "They are monsters....I'm glad that we're getting rid of them....I am not a hatchling and still I have not needed to be a murderer....I could not imagine it especially when the ones I care for most are human....."

With that she nibbled at his earlobe playfully her fangs scraping against his skin before she moved back to his neck. Champagne moved off of Roy only to flip him on his back before he had a chance to react. She was back on her knees straddling his hips and she smiled down at him before winking.

"Vampires like myself are a noble breed...those of us that are old enough find peace and love and settle down....they will not have the chance for they were made to kill...."

She decided to get rid of this depressed mood by taking her claw like nails, running them down Roy's chest, ripping his shirt as she goes. It's left in shreds as she pushes it away from his chest to lean down and she began at his neck licking and nibbling as her fangs ran along his skin.
Roy bit back a moan while his eyes were closed only to suddenly see the monster that had attacked him when he was a child appear in his mind, causing his eyes to snap open.

With sudden surprise, he gripped her arms and pushed her away, still hanging onto her as he sat up only to cry out as his scar responded to it, his back starting to bleed in the form of a large jagged scar that seemed to show through, the blood being slowed as it clung to his tanktop.

Champagne was suddenly confused when she was pushed away, after just hearing a bit of a moan even as he tried to keep it from escaping his lips. She watched him with wild eyes as he clung to her, his grip like steel cables on her arms and she watched him with worry and fear.

The smell of blood filled the air and she cried then for she knew she had caused this to happen.

Roy's grip loosened after seeing her tears before holding her close.

"Don't...," he said, his voice in a light whisper. "It's not your fault.. Don't cry.."

He rested his head on her shoulder while he rested his eyes. The blood on his back seemed to move back, as if time was rewinding and disappeared as if it were never there to start, but the mark was still the same.

"No matter...how mad I've become....please don't leave me," he murmured.

Champagne wrapped her arms around him and held him close, "I will never leave you....never....."

She fought away the tears, her skin now stained a crimson red as she looks down at him. Her voice was weak and strained, "I was just trying to distract you...take your mind off things...make you feel good...take care of you for once...You have to know that...."

She sighs and clings to him, tears still streaking her face with trails of crimson.

"I know..it's me that keeps falling..it's not you," he said before his hands moved to grip her face gently and just as gently, did he kiss her red tears.

The blood tasted sweet on his lips, but at the same time..bitter due to the tears that they were.

Champagne sighed and watched him carefully. The touch of his lips on her skin was soft and so sweet.

"Don't think....just feel...let all other things slip away....It's just you and me...."

Champagne gently laid him on the bed and smiled down at him as she curled up at his side. The tears disappeared and she ran her hand along his naked chest and smiled softly, "Tell me you do not like my touch....Tell me you don't want me as I want you......"

There wasn't reason, there wasn't any time for decision nor was there anything that would make him doubt nonetheless..

"I won't let you be in that life you've had before again.. That isn't what you are meant to become while in my service."

She stared at him with wounded eyes and sighed, "I'm not doing this because of what I've done in the past....Can't you see that I'm trying to love you...show you that I do...."

With that she bit back a sob before squirming out of his grasp and climbing off the bed, going to her trunks and grabbing the original night gown she had been told to wear. Champagne disappeared into the bathroom and closed the door, sinking down to the floor with her back pressed against it. She began to cry as she never had.

She had never felt this way and had never been hurt before. This was the first time she had felt real emotion and she didn't like the way it felt.

Roy watched her go before sighing, getting up to grab a new dress shirt before putting on his coat, not the same as he had on earlier when leaving, but the one he often wore to blend in with society. He moved over to the desk, picking up a sheet of paper and wrote a note, only to leave quietly as he came.

As he headed downstairs, his mind was in a deep thick fog of thoughts.

It wasn't that I was refusing it.. I know how it is you feel, but we'll let it alone.., he thought mostly to himself before heading out, only to head towards the bar a few blocks down.

He needed to relax, keep his mind out from what he had done, to not worry about a thing and the only way he knew how:

Was to gamble.
